And about Comet Queen ~ I think if she was written with a little less camp and silliness, like Nura's maturing under DnA, that she'd be a much better choice for Drake than Dawnstar.

I agree with ML that I'd like to see the whole "android" idea explored more. Not sure if I want it explored in terms of his romantic life, though.

It could be a great story pairing Brin with Brainy, a team-up we don't usually see. Their personalities would be dynamic together: two loners who at times really want to be part of the group. Brainy is one of the great integral members of the Legion and like EDE pointed out already, by this time in Legion history, Brin has definitely become more of a ‘member of the pack’.

I actually think it's a shame that we never really got to see him much in his role as deputy leader. What I'd actually like to see with Brin is that, after all of the crap he's been through (repeated brain-washing/induced amnesias, drug addictions, physical changes resulting from Zuunium exposure, etc.), he actually emerges as one of the most stable and mature members of the team.

I'd like to see that for Brin, too, EDE!
In the adult Legion story, he WAS one of the stable, remaining members.
Not true, wrong, retract . . . from here ~ On the posters thread in Bits, kidflash2 or Paradox, created a poster using an old Legion story page where Brin is trying to help Brainy with Kara's death and erasure from the DCU.
I think a Brin/Brainy friendship has a firm foundation, . . . ~ to here. The scene was with Rond, not Brin. jeez
. . . just like Brainy's relationship with Rond was.
And Cobie, are you talking about a Brin/Mysa romance?
I think she might be a little TOO ethreal for him, too detached.
She & Blok suit each other like Drake & Dawny and Kara & Brainy, mentally and spiritually strongly connected but physically starcrossed.

If I turn my head just right, I could see a Brin/Mysa connection forming over their more primal/spiritual ties to a world that the somewhat sterile scientific United Planets has mostly left behind and / or regards askance, with some trepidation. Both he and she represent a time when man was closer to the natural world, whether the 'savage beast' or the 'elemental spirits.' With the Black Witch angle going on, Mysa is now exploring the dark side of her magic, the same way that Brin has already explored the dark side of his animalistic instincts. This would make him an ideal 'guide' to finding her back to the light, to reconcile her darker impulses with her heroic nature. Blok, for all that I love the guy, might prove woefully ill-suited in that role, being more likely to give her unconditional acceptance, and end up being warped by the forces around her into her 'golem' protector, than help her work through the darkness. Or perhaps I'm underestimating the big lunk. He's pretty complex, and might understand that she needs to both embrace her power, and yet remain it's master, and not allow herself to be 'dragged' anywhere, but to set her own feet beneath her and take the steps she chooses. Mysa, it seems, has always striven for a sense of detachment, hovering above the earth, locking herself away with her studies, both on the Sorcerer's World and as a Legionnaire, and it's possible that this sense of isolation and disconnection is the root of her problem. (And is another thing she shares in common with the Legion's own 'Lone Wolf.) It's also an interesting connection with Mordru, who also shuns the touch of the earth, for different reasons... On the other hand, if I turn my head just right in the other direction, I can hear music, so I could just be picking up KRZY radio in my head.

The golem part is certainly interesting. I think that Blok's 'grounding' is so profound that Mysa's dark side couldn't disconnect him, though. Mysa has Zoe now, the magic from a whole universe, she doesn't need to retain her universe's Mordru, I think. She has Zoe's Mordru, too, after all. She needs to release him, and the others that he's absorbed, rather than exploring the depths of madness that is Mordru. She should keep the incantation/spell that he's used in the past and the one she learned from him. That power should be blocked to him forever. I think. And no Brin and Mysa, imo. I actually think that Rokk might be a good choice for her. He likes gals with dark hair. Maybe he'll like her with red.

Originally posted by Candle: She needs to release him, and the others that he's absorbed, rather than exploring the depths of madness that is Mordru. See, that still chaps my ass, that Mordru, who was redeemed by the other teachers of Sorcerer's World, went back to being a cackling villain just because Geoff Johns was too lazy to bother to find out that Mordru and Mekt Ranzz weren't really villains anymore... I mean, really, how hard is it to actually *advance* the storyline, and not go backwards due to a lack of creativity? It's not rocket science.

Johns is playing to the TMK era/5yrs later scenerio where Mordru is the 'king' of Zerox, with a 'hidden' evil and diplomatic status rather than being a galactic outlaw.
It's not Johns concept, really. He just brought the Mysa issue to a head earlier in the timeline when Mordru wasn't quite so powerful and 'established'.
She's just joined with Zoe instead of Amethyst and well, Mordru and the rest of the beings he's absorbed.
If I were her, I'd want everyone with a body to go to, out, out, out! Even some without bodies! I'd cast them into the nearest pigs if I had to!

I'd like to see Brin as more of an off/on again thing with various women. Use the Lone Wolf/Loner aspect of his personality to not let him get too close to anyone romantically. Use this also to explain his apparent loss of brain power under the ends of Levitz's original run. He uses the "dumb" act to drive people away because he is actually more comfortable alone. Not saying that he is soo much smarter than he seems...just that there is an underlying reason for his "bonehead" comments and actions.
I would like to see one deep friendship with Jeckie develope. As he realizes he needs someone stable in his life.
Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.
