I'm curious, what made Polar Boy count as a full Legionnaire? This would have been too early for that alternate timeline story where COMPUTO "won" and the Subs joined.

Polar Man is a member in the Adult Legion story.
One could also throw in White Witch (whose Adult Legion membership was mentioned in a Superman story), as well as Color Kid and Douglas Nolan (who were revealed to have joined the Adult Legion in letters pages).

Ah, of course. Same story as Quantum Queen and Reflecto.
I always assumed all the Subs had joined the Adult Legion. I can't quite recall if I saw it in letters pages though.

Polar Man does say something about the two teams merging, and we see that Night Girl did not join, but I don't think they specify about the others.

Yeah, the story says that both teams had lost so many members that they decided to merge, but it's not specified who was on the resulting team. The only further info we are given is that the editor states on one of the letter pages that other members of the Adult Legion, such as Color King and (I believe) Sun Man, were off on a mission during that story.

IIRC, the team merged while on Shanghalla. But only 5 team members actually attacked COMPUTO and the LSV. I wonder what happened to the others? I always assumed everyone present on Shanghalla was part of the new merged team.
