Did you try the spaghetti? Filipinos love sweet food smile Some people put banana ketchup (yes it's a thing), condensed milk and loads of sugar in their spaghetti.

We both had fried chicken with rice, as I recall. The place is very popular with Houston's Filipino community. We were two of the only non-Filipinos there.

There's a Guatemalan fried chicken chain called Pollo Campero. It also has a store in Houston.

There was a Pollo Campero near my house, but it closed down after a year of business.

They've had a few in Houston, but the Bellaire store seems the most successful. They also had them in Spring Branch and the East End, but those closed also.

I'm not a fan of liver, but The Boyfriend is. I treated him to a nice dinner over the weekend and he ordered liver and onions.

I'm not a big fan of liver either. We have a lot of noodle dishes here which include liver as a topping though.

As a rule, I don't eat beef or pork, so that includes such things at beef liver. When I did eat meat, I remember enjoying eating kidney.

I'm pretty much with Ibby. I also am fond of turkey. I'm now in charge of making the Thanksgiving and Christmas turkeys.

I prefer turkey to chicken, mainly because it tends to retain its flavor better after being in the fridge several days
