While I would assume the character had parents, they have never been depicted in Legion stories. Other relatives have, however.

i'm having trouble thinking of a fairly prominent supporting character who was killed before 5YG who could be the answer.
I'm mentally running through the Legionnaires who died and I'm pretty sure none were killed by this guy...
