I've never liked international traveling. Sitting on a plane for more than 2-3 hours drives me crazy. shake

I can bear it. The thrill of a new destination is a good enough motivator for me.

My trip this summer will be to Arkansas and Oklahoma, the former of which I have been to once and the latter I have been to never.

How exciting!

I am plannin study again in the next 5 years. Before I do, I was hoping to visit Nepal, Sri Lanka and India. Sadly, the Nepal quake will push my plans back.

We're taking selfies in front of every state capitol building. So far, we have Austin and Baton Rouge. We will have Little Rock and Oklahoma City after this trip.

That's a nice collection.

I have a nice collection of pictures from my travels as well. I think Maldives and Myanmar are the ones the fewest people I know have visited. There's also Sukhothai and Chiang Mai in Thailand, Sapporo in Japan, and Xian and Harbin in China.

I think there probably are a lot of people who don't where the Maldives are.

It's a shame. They're quite beautiful. But then, I've always been fascinated with the world.

As the World Turns and The Edge of Night both premiered on April 2, 1956, on CBS. They were the first two US soap operas to run for 30 minutes (previously, they had all been only 15 minutes long). ATWT ran on CBS till 2010, expanding to one hour in 1975. Also in 1975, Edge moved to ABC, where it continued till 1984.

I put dates in my morning smoothies. Yesterday's smoothie also included fresh peaches, frozen raspberries, almond milk, chia seeds, and a little vanilla extract.

I've always found the word "smoothie" kind of disturbing. I wish it had a different name.

There was a fruit-flavored brand of toothpaste in South America called Blendi. I remember trying it, and it tasted nice, but it dried up much quicker than other toothpastes. grin

Except for some brands marketed to kids, I don't know of any fruit-flavored toothpastes here in the States. Most are mint or wintergreen.

Peppermint Patty & Marcie rival Snoopy & Woodstock as my favorite Peanuts duo.
