Surely an evolving forum of new threads is just the thing. Particularly if some of them highlight a favourite of some posters like the Holograms. But, don't waste anymore time reading this, or posting here, when you could be thinking up new threads about your favourites.

The Boyfriend likes Shana best.

Thank you, Rocky.

My thanks to the Boyfriend, too.

And please tell him my favorite is Kimber.

You're right Ibby. Best that it ends before other cartoon favourites like Battle of the Planets come up, when a new thread could easily just be created for things like that.

Wow. You're the second poster to agree with me this evening. That brings my lifetime total to...uh..two.

The other agreement was for something else, so I don't know if our two agreements are representative.

To find out, we should take it for granted that anyone who continues to post to this thread agrees with us in all things, always.

And those who don't post must disagree. Quite disagreeably.

As long as they are quite disagreeable quietly. I'd start an All-Sycophant thread, but shall follow Fickles' idea on the Holograms and keep such things here.

Dumbo was pretty dark for a Disney movie.

Not as dark as Snow White. Dario Argento actually said that his horror opus Suspiria was inspired heavily by Snow White.

Most fairy tales were originally dark, way back when they were used to scare children into behaving.

I remember reading two different versions of The Three Little Pigs when I was little, one in which the first and second pigs escaped to the third pig's house and another where they were each eaten by the wolf after he blew down their houses.

The Disney cartoons featuring the Big Bad Wolf and the Three Little Pigs liked to show them being spanked, for some reason.

One of the prize possessions of my late childhood/early adolescence was a book collecting the undiluted complete Grimm's fairy tales.
