It had to happen. New relaunch, new characters, old characters either waiting in the wings, left out entirely or significantly altered. Who do you really, really REALLY want to see back?? And if they come back, what essential qualities do you think need to be preserved?

for me, it'd have to be.... (wait for it...)
WILDFIRE!!
Essential Qualities:
- Drake Burroughs
- Human turned into an energy being: a big part of his characterization is that he lost his body. The angst and tragedy are key.
- Heavy-hitter
- Containment Suit: as powerful as he is, the suit gave him a sense of fragility and that featureless faceplate implied a sense of being detached or separated from the world (he has no face). It also looked really cool when he'd blast himself out of it.
- Hothead: sometimes cocky and overconfident which gets him into trouble, but he never shirks from battle.
- Loyalty to the Legion: as much of a hothead he ever was, he was steadfastly loyal to the team and its ideals. Espcially since he had nowhere else to go - the team was his familiy.

Now is that too much to ask for?

Hmmm.....I see no Lad/Lass/Kid/Boy/Girl in that.

Who do I think they need to bring back?

No Contest: Ferro Lad.

He was the first character I ever knew in the legion (thanks to old comics found in my local shop so long ago) I think the best way to portray him had to be the SW6 Version: A Swashbuckling team player who cared about all his teammates like family. But underneath it, was full of self-loathing and had a bit of a death wish. Anyhoo. Ferro Lad was never the most popular character, so I doubt I'll be seeing him anytime soon

Uuummm, welll since Wildfire has been neutered, Drake has no gender and is thus exempt from the Lad/Lass rule.... right?

Chemical King (or Kid if we have to rename him)

Condo Arlik has never gotten his due screen time.

I second that. I'd like to see a Condo who's powers are handled intellectually

GATES!!!!
-He´s a rebel by nature, so he would fit quite well in the new legion.
-He isn´t a long range teleporter so his power aren´t redundant.
-His one of the best loking alien legionnaires.
-His the much needed esceptic, but loyal, to the team.
Barry!! Wouldn´t love to redesigh him as Vanishlad or something?

And he better not come back in any story involving Deregon or Nega-spheres.

I agree with Lobo Gris. Gates, or should I say Jump Bug, could become a philosophical leader for this group. It would be his "heart's desire."

- her original matter animation powers are different enough from Light Lass' anti-grav powers
- it would be interesting to see how her lust for power would conflict with the rest of the team
- as far as we know nobody on the team has her bubbly, perky, somewhat fickle personality yet, and this would just add to the conflict
- she was so messed up by her zombifying and terrorforming that she deserves a second chance
- the only Legionnaire who'd have a different costume every issue!

Well, if we're going to use the ADVENTURE-era cast in this re-imagined universe then beyond a shadow of a doubt, Bouncing Boy, Matter-Eater Lad and Ferro Lad DESERVE to be there and SHOULD be there.

Mon-El, too.... and I'll even say insert Andromeda since she retroactively replaced Supergirl in the ADVENTURE stories. But I know there's something up with Daxam right now...

And let us not forget late-ADVENTURE era additions Timber Wolf and Chemical King. They joined only a few issues after Shadow Lass did.

If we bring back Kinetix can we call her Matter Mover Lass?

I agree with MLASH/Dr. Love Rocket, too. All the adventure era guys should come back. Including Nemesis Kid. Could he actually be a hero this time or will he be the "wolf in sheep's clothing?"

I want Timberwolf back! (I know, I know; that's such a shock coming from me. )

His key traits, IMO, are the acrobatics and a wolfish personality. A real wolf. Violent but caring, incomplete without a pack, but not fitting in to easily with a new pack.

If we're going with the boy/lad names, he could be Acro Lad temporarily.

I think Plasma Boy would be a good name for Wildfire.

Although it looks like Brainy is older, and we don't actually know much of anything about his personality yet, I'm still going to go ahead and start demanding he meet Supergirl!
