I wonder what aging really is, in the physical sense, not the metaphorical sense. Is it like rusting? All these on-line articles say eat anti-oxidants to combat the effects of aging. If Chemistry served me well, rusting is oxidation and if anti-oxidants mitigate aging then well, could't we just drink a glass of wd-40.... and vodka?

I'm kind of tired of being so pasty-white all the time. A little rust could only make my appearance more interesting. Plus, it would expand my color palette when it was time to choose a wardrobe. I'll still accept everyone's good wishes, though. And some of that vodka.

Had 1 (!!!) cocktail before going out to dinner last night with mr_cleome. I didn't think they knew it was my birthday, but after dinner they brought me a berries n' chocolate mousse concoction with a single candle. So nice! I almost made it through the whole thing.  Today, I go to make the first downpayment on the shelves I picked out yesterday. If all goes well, before Labor Day they will be mine. MIIIIIINE!! [evil laugh]
