HA HA HA HA. Yes, and that was AFTER a long hiatus from comics.

That explains a lot. I thought that it was because Harris had gone. But burn out certainly could have played a part in it's decline.

On Robinson, I saw that Airboy is out. I've seen a few covers of the '80s version. So, I had a little curiosity. But when I saw Robinson's name, I didn't bother. Those JLA/ Cry For Justice issues were so appalling that I still have an aversion to looking at his writing.

The first few issues of the 80s Airboy were great shoot-em-up fun in the G.I. Joe/A-Team mould. Then political conflicts between editor and writer drained the fun out of the book.

I'm passing on the Robinson relaunch as well.

I watched a few episodes of the GI Joe cartoon before.

On another note, air is my favorite of the 4 classical elements.

Well, some ancients did believe in aether... smile

Chinese astrology also believes in five elements: fire, water, earth, metal and wood. Air is absent frown

I like the generic-sounding Silver Age planet names better. Quarantine World is just brilliant. That sounds like the universe's least appealing theme park. I suppose "Legion World" ultimately comes from those names, though.

And at least they mean something.

Although there were some Postboot names that "meant something". There was a planet called Plevitz, and a planetoid called JS-1967 (possible reference to Jim Shooter)?

Isn't Legion World itself from the Reboot era? I pretty much stopped reading the Legion at Zero Hour and didn't pick it up again till the Threeboot, so that era is a bit murky for me.

"Legion World" was created by DnA if I remember correctly.

Yes, Stalgie is correct.

I was referring to your comment that you like "generic Silver Age names", Rocky. You are correct that the silver-agey Legion World is very much a "modern" creation smile

And comic books, of course, used to be "all in color for a dime."

Penny Peyser was a cute actress of promising talent whose fame peaked with a role as the young bride in the original 1979 version of "The In-Laws".

Penny is, of course, an informal, though nearly universal, name for the coin which is properly called a cent.
