I guess I'm more like my mother personality-wise, but I remember when I was a kid, when my mother got exasperated with me she'd say "You're just like your father." When my father felt the same way, he'd say "You're just like your mother." Of course my parents ended up divorcing after 49 years of marriage.

shrug It was a few years ago and it was the best thing for both of them, especially my mother.

Even if it ended, 49 years is still very impressive.

It was a difficult and painful time, but I think my mother is the happiest she has been in years. She lives in Houston now. She moved here when she left him.

I just swore out loud at a thoroughly creepy and annoying person on another board. It's a good thing that my own Mom couldn't hear me. shake

That's one of the best things about Legion World. There's very little drama. In the history of the site, we've had very few issues.

It's hard to believe it's been ten years (or will be in about two months, anyway) since I joined up here. I joined about the same time as Fanfie, Caliente, Tamper Lad, and Joeboy/Kid Marvel. Fanfie and I are both still active posters, of course. Cali and Tamper pop in now and then. It's been a few years since Joeboy was here.

I had a big gap in my activity when I went to college. It was a pretty long gap - almost 5 years.

"Think of Laura" was a popular early 80s song based on one of the main characters from General Hospital.

Somewhere along the line, someone began to refer to the "Class of '05" as "The All-New, All-Different LMB" and it sort of stuck.

"All-New, All-Different" is a reference to the X-Men relaunch of 1975.

The comic that made me an X-Men fan was Uncanny X-Men #219.

For how many decades does one get to be "all-new, all-different", hmmm? wink
