Okay, now, ya'll be cool about this. I understand that it's my personal thing. I don't judge people by them, it's just a personal thing for me, I wouldn't get them for myself personally.

Tattoos.

I know that they are big in culture right now. I don't hold anything against folks that have them. I've more than one or two friends and family that have them. They just aren't for me personally.

I think the coolest thing about them is people that use them for personal self confidence to help hide things like scars, etc. they just aren't my thing.

I'm not really a fan either. Small ones are okay, but the more prominent, the more of a turn-off.

Yeah, my best friend has one, a tiny rose on her right ankle.

Same here. My daughter also got one on her ankle for some bizarre reason.

I mean, I understand the interest in doing something like this to mark a momentous occasion or something, but the problem is that most of the time they look awful as people age. But that's just IMO.

Rich people that think money buys them a pass from reality. Poor people that think being poor makes them somehow better just by being.

People who boast about being "brutally honest," like it's a good thing.

Honesty is always good.

Brutality is never good.

So there.

Oh, we have one of these at work, dude's in his 50s, at least, and utterly unable to make a decision! Every time a new job slot opens up, he *agonizes* about whether he wants to bid for the new hours, or higher level position, and asks *everyone* for advice (and then talks himself out of anything recommended), but then dithers and groans and shuffles about looking miserable until he does *nothing* and someone else gets the job, and then he moans about that. Ugh. Shit or get off the pot, dude!

As for tattoos, I like the patterns or celtic knotwork ones, or the Yakuza-esque sleeve and back tattoos, but for the most part, representational art just doesn't work for me. Abstract lines and Maori-looking stuff, fine. A face or cartoon character, nope. (Huh, never really thought about it, but I seem to be okay with cultural stuff, Japanese or Maori or Celtic designs, but not more recent stuff I might make an exception for the Legion L, or a cool band symbol, if I like the band.) :

As for a pet peeve for me, people who tell me that I can't say I don't like something if I don't try it (or don't try it again, in front of them, because the beer they are offering me is somehow magic beer and doesn't taste like the tart cold nasty unprocessed piss that every other beer I've had tasted like). I can tell just fine from the smell coming out of the kitchen whether or not I'm gonna enjoy the meal! Back off!

Also, unrelated to people, but a *thing* that bugs me is food or drink that straight-up lies to you. Coffee smells good, and hurts my tummy. Tea smells *wonderful* (and feels great to hold on a cold day), but tastes like warm dirty water.

Tried so many teas, 'this one is different, Ian!' and no, no it isn't. It tastes like warm disappointment.
