I would agree with Fanfie's take on the Disney and WB comics and cartoons.
Disney comics, especially those in the Donald Duck/Scrooge McDuck universe, are great. Disney's cartoon shorts are pretty uninteresting, especially those with Mickey Mouse, who, in my mind, is by far the most overrated cartoon character.
The Warner Bros. animated shorts, on the other hand, pretty much define the genre. Their derived comics, on the other hand, with the possible exception of some of the Porky Pig adventures of the '70s, never rise above pedestrian.

My favorite "dark horse" director of the old Warner Bros cartoons is Arthur Davis. He only directed one Bugs Bunny, "Bowery Bugs", but it was one of the best Bugs cartoons IMO.

I love Bugs, Porky, Daffy, and Elmer Fudd. There are some characters, such Yosemite Sam, who I find rather obnoxious.

I loved when Daffy found Hal Jordan's Green Lantern uniform and became the Green Loontern.

Shirley's last name was McLoon, and, as such, she was a parody of actress Shirley MacLaine and her well-known fascination with New Age philosophy.

It's about the only thing about Ms. McLoon that does.

I heard they wanted her to have a sibling named Warren Batty, but his womanizing made him a dubious role model for young children.

Warren Beatty appeared as Milton Armitadge in the first season of The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis.

Warren Worthington aka Angel is my favorite of the original 5 X-Men.

Warren Beatty is both hilarious and appalling as the always-horny Beverly Hills hairdresser in Shampoo.

I refer to Winnie-the-Pooh as depicted in the E.H. Shepard illustrations of the original A.A. Milne books as True Pooh. The Disney version is Sham Pooh.

A sham pooch with sham poo. Better than cleaning up after the real thing, but not necessarily as cute.

You could have sham affection for it though.

Evelyn "Champagne" King's Shame would be a great parody as "Sham Sham Sham." A chorus of groovy dancers could polish a Rolls Royce with Sham Wows while they sang.
