Whatever charm it had ended with the arrival of Scrappy Doo.

I'm more of a Johnny Quest fan myself.
Keep up with what I've been watching lately! "Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio? Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you."

Jonny Quest was great, but my favorite Hanna Barbera cartoons were Challenge of the GoBots, Galtar and the Golden Lance, and SuperFriends (especially the final two seasons where the main villain was Darkseid, so memorably voiced by Frank Welker.)

Sadly, Super Friends is the only one of those i have watched. And only a couple of episodes.

Super Friends was my favorite when I was a kid. I would not have come to love DC Comics without it.

I was exposed to the JLA/JLE (post-Breakdowns incarnation) and Super Friends at about the same time. I grew up thinking that the likes of Blue Beetle and Fire were as prominent as the likes of Hawkman and Green Lantern.

Super Friends gave those of us who grew up with it a similar impression of Aquaman. I was an adult before I realized that DC considered Flash and Green Lantern to be more important.

Aquaman had his own cartoon series produced by Filmation, as did Superman and Batman, in the '60s. When Hanna-Barbera got the rights in the '70s, they used the same characters. At least they added Wonder Woman.

Zan and Jayna didn't come along right away. The first season featured Wendy and Marvin. I liked Zan amd Jayna much better. I think Zan may have been my first cartoon crush.

Fish was a spinoff from Barney Miller. It starred Abe Vigoda.

Absolutely. I love the Smiths, and I think that's one of their best songs. Thanks, Stalgie.
