A year before Disney's Robin Hood, Hanna-Barbera produced a cartoon for ABC's Saturday Superstar Movie anthology series called The Adventures of Robin Hoodnik, with Robin Hood and the other characters cast as animals.

I was inspired by this thread to got watch "Robin Hood Daffy" again. It has belatedly occurred to me that Daffy's experience is pretty much my life in a nutshell. The most astounding revelations can sneak up on a person utterly without warning....

I wonder if it's true that he wants "All We Like Sheep" sung at his funeral.

Better having them on the outside of the underwear than on the inside.

I don't think it's an either/or situation.

The song "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off" ("You say eether and I say eyether") first appeared in the Astaire-Rogers musical Shall We Dance. They performed the number on roller skates.

I've always been better at inline skating rather than traditional roller skating.

I have horrid balance. Or maybe it's not that bad, but I am just afraid of falling.

I liked old-school rollerskates. I was reasonably competent on them, even managing to credibly skate backwards without any wipe-outs. Blades? Forget it. I've always had weak ankles. No way in hell was I ever going to try those. I could never stay balanced on ice skates, so I took that as a warning.

I think inline skating is a lot like riding a bike. Once you know how to center your balance in that line, it's relatively easy and you have better mobility than you would with traditional roller skates.

I used to like roller skating when I was a teenager. I never tried inline skating.

The thing about biking is: I'm not relying on my ankles and feet to keep me balanced. I actually do miss biking, but when I'm outside the plants are usually commanding all my time and attention.

I learned to ride a bike late last year. It was surprisingly fun.

I fear traffic too much to go on a bike.

I wanted to learn so I could get around more cheaply abroad. It would have been great while seeing the ruins in Sukhothai.

Or you can follow Ex's example and go on a pilgrimage walk.

I actually would like to make a pilgrimage some day to Canterbury and to Walsingham.
