I was reasonably competent on them, even managing to credibly skate backwards without any wipe-outs. Blades? Forget it. I've always had weak ankles. No way in hell was I ever going to try those. Once you know how to center your balance in that line, it's relatively easy and you have better mobility than you would with traditional roller skates. Keep up with what I've been watching lately! The thing about biking is: I'm not relying on my ankles and feet to keep me balanced. I actually do miss biking, but when I'm outside the plants are usually commanding all my time and attention.
