I've only held on to tiny fragments of various languages. Nowadays I'm just happy if you all can understand me in English.

The only language in which I have ever been fluent is English.
I can speak enough French to get by. I can speak Spanish for work and for food. I speak menu and music Italian. I speak choir German and choir Latin.

I speak Filipino, and enough Mandarin to get by. I know a few basic phrases in Japanese and in French.

How many of us can read Interlac? :-)

Element Lad's costume was useful that way.

The Interlac conversion chart is right here. I was always a little disappointed that Interlac was really just a one-for-one cipher of English rather than an actual language.

I wonder how many times people in the 31st century confused their Interlac E's with N's.

With the advances in technology I wonder how many need to read at all? If everything has icon driven screens that cater for your every need, in work and play many might find that they don't need to pick up a book.

Reading doesn't necessarily involve a book. Text on a screen could well still be needed.

I've just started the next story in the Legion Archive rereads. There may be some Naltorian interference.

I'd much prefer Terminator...as a reference point, if not an actual outcome
