The only language in which I have ever been fluent is English.

I can speak enough French to get by. I can speak Spanish for work and for food. I speak menu and music Italian. I speak choir German and choir Latin.

I was always a little disappointed that Interlac was really just a one-for-one cipher of English rather than an actual language.

With the advances in technology I wonder how many need to read at all? If everything has icon driven screens that cater for your every need, in work and play many might find that they don't need to pick up a book.

Reading doesn't necessarily involve a book. Text on a screen could well still be needed.
