The Boyfriend does the outdoor cooking. I do things like Supremes de Volaille aux Champignons. Okay, that's chicken breast in mushroom cream sauce, but it sounds more impressive en français.

It's actually pretty easy as these things go. It involves a few things, like a reduction, that probably would sound daunting.

I'm pretty good at reducing I start with a full plate, but by the end ...

The Boyfriend askee to make the chicken-mushroom thing again soon. It's rich, but yumm-tastic!

I've never been fond of mushrooms, though most people I know love them.
In fact, just this weekend, one of my dorm mates ordered a large pizza with triple mushrooms!

Well now the concept of the "mushroom cloud" makes sense!

And Charlie Brown was going to say he saw a duckie and a horsie, but he changed his mind.

I wish I didn't have to get up early to wash a mountain of dishes.
The people at the temp job du jour who grumble about having to empty the dishwasher? They have no idea how good they have it. [rolleyes]

People are funny about dishwashers. They either think they're the best thing ever (I'm in that camp) or they don't see a need for them. Within the dishwasher camp you have those who just rinse before loading and those who wash before washing. I'm the former.

My mom is in between those camps. She prefers using a dishwasher but still always scrubs down thoroughly dishes before putting them in the washer anyway.

I've never owned a dishwasher. I'm in the camp that doesn't see the need for me to have one. It's a small camp. So, there's not much washing up, reinforcing my viewpoint.

The Boyfriend used to live in a house without a dishwasher. I'm glad he moved.
