Thanks, Fanfie. I'm mostly familiar with the series through Linkara's reviews of it, but I'll look into it.

Keep up with what I've been watching lately! "Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio? Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you."

I'm very familiar with that series. I'm constantly re-reading my issues. It has some VERY good Arsenal depictions art-wise in my opinion. God I'd kill to get a Roy sketch from Paul Pelletier.

No but guys seriously, I love all this so far. I love that for once I can actually enjoy looking forward to brand new DC Comics, enjoy buying them, enjoy READING them, and not have to feel guilty about reading them or wanting to read them.
Oracle being a badass! The more obscure Extremists! Someone remembered Scarlet! Donna not being a mass murderer! Jesse Quick having her baby, which means a brand new Titans child! The possibility of Roy actually getting Lian back and someone finally, FINALLY making an attempt to clean up the mess made by Robinson, Krul and Wallace.
IT'S WONDERFUL. IT'S LIKE A MIRACLE. IT'S HONEY-FLAVORED CHRISTMAS TIME.

I'll be passing on this week and next (except Suicide Squad), but will be getting more of the Week 3 & 4 titles.
I know they wanted to group by era, but they could have still done that with trade dress and intermixed titles a bit. As it is now, I suspect different readers will be getting heavy orders on different weeks.

SO glad I'm not buying the main book. I don't give a crap about the current Earth-2.

Step one: Let's see how everyone's adapting (or not) to a year without powers
Step two: Here's the Telos announcement.
Step three: Heroes decide if they would really fight against their will like this.
Step four: Too Late! Incursion from another continuity leads to cliffhanger.
Rinse. Repeat. Across ALL the titles.

So it looks like Convergence WW very well IS going to be the only in continuity Wondie comic any of us is going to enjoy in the next couple of years.
Because Larry Hama somehow managed to get her personality correct in three to four pages than nearly everyone else has since 2011.

Ron Wagner quote: "[Convergence] Seems like a fun way to use a bunch of characters that no one is doing anything with."
MT don't expect a permanent return of the Legion of Superheroes or Superman Red & Superman Blue.

*Sigh* I know.
At the very least, I'm hoping that Fabian's answers mean we'll get at least something of a happy ending that doesn't involve Lian dying again.
And I'm waiting to hear back from another Convergence creator about an interview.

So, yeah. I picked up a bunch of Convergence titles this week, and they were a pretty mixed bag, but overall I was pretty happy with them. Nothing groundbreaking, and probably not worth the four bucks when I can get much better back issues much cheaper, but they were satisfactory reads for the most part.
Freedom Fighters was probably my favorite of the bunch. It was actually closer to what I was expecting from the Multiversity Earth-X title than what we got from Morrison. Also enjoyed Blue Beetle, Shazam, and Infinity, Inc. World's Finest had some good bits, but I could have done without the deaths. I didn't care much for the Crime Syndicate book at all, and JSA was okay, but left me kind of flat for some reason.

I hate the modern revision that Woozy never actually reformed and has always "secretly" been a crook this whole time (They did the same in "Countdown to Mystery").
Also, did Woozy orignally migrate to Earth X with the others?

I picked up Teen Titans, mainly because of Kole. It was OK, even readers not familiar with the Titans or the Earth-8 Doom Patrol can follow the story well enough. A lot of drama mixed in with the action, the pacing was a bit odd though. 1) Donna is pining for Terry Long, who thankfully doesn't appear In fact, no supporting Titans cast members appear though Commissioner Gordon gets a mention as being in the dome too 2) Dick and Kory are married, but Kory's intense warrior passions conflict with Dick's desire to uphold the sanctity of human life. Kory manages to restrain herself from killing though 3) Kole pines for Jericho, who she knows likes her and who knows that she likes him too, but he doesn't do anything. She asks Donna if Joe likes men, and Donna just looks sad before telling Kole to be herself. If Joe wants her, he'll let her know 4) Gar and Vic are still best buds, but without spare parts Cyborg is slowly dying. So, skirmish skirmish. Both groups realize that the other is being forced into things. But the Doom Patrol end the issue planning to steal parts from Cyborg so they can build a portal back to their own world and future. Oops. But Firehawk of the DP calls Nightwing and says they need to talk... the end.

Also, did Woozy orignally migrate to Earth X with the others? He's not shown or mentioned in All-Star Squadron #50. Of course, the migration aspect is often ignored (see Infinite Crisis). And it's pretty hard to square this version of Earth-X with the pre-Crisis version anyway. I mean... the Nazis were defeated on pre-Crisis Earth-X, so unless they made a major comeback, I'm not sure how they're supposed to still be in charge in this story.

There's a good chance they were pulled before that.
Fabian Nicieza mentioned in the interview I did that the version of Arsenal in Titans was pulled before some of the more questionable and outright terrible things happened during Deathstroke's book.

Well, then you get the problem that the Silver Ghost didn't gain his powers until after the end of the war on Earth-X.

Oh! I didn't know that.
Well, it sounds like what Fabian told me is most likely a hand wave meant to explain any discrepancies between Convergence and how the characters ACTUALLY appeared before their specific eras ended.
Like, Poison Ivy and Joker are vampires in the Red Rain dome but in the actual Bloodstorm and Crimson Mist stories they were killed before that could happen.
And there's also Earth-2 Robin in the hybrid costume.

I finally got to the comic book store today. I once went every other week without fail. Since Flashpoint, I have had less interest and sometimes only make it every six weeks. I had a big stack awaiting me.
I've only read the Convergence issues for the JSA and Infinity, Inc. so far, with a quick skim of the Superboy and the Legion issue.
Reading Infinity was one of the most bittersweet experiences of my comics reading life. Seeing Jade and Obsidian again was so wonderful! I didn't realize how much I missed them. I nearly cried.
But knowing that this is just a tease and all three of these series, with the DC characters I truly love, won't be seen again for a long time hurts.
I promise, DC, give the JSA and the Legion their own books again in their own continuities and I'll buy every single issue!
The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."
