Oops, sorry, that was ENya... [/b] Or maybe the poor girl will keep her name and just have to learn to live with going potty without an audience in one dimension or the other!

Universal Annihilation War? There's a European SciFi comic called "Universal War", also being published in the US now. And Annihilation was a Marvel event, wasn't it? Now is this another joke like the Invasion Trade Paperback with the tagline "Secret no more"? Maybe we get a triple sized #50, covering the whole war, Shooter going out with a bang ??? I would buy it But I did not get the latest news, what happened to the "Shooter off the Legion" discussion, did we get to a result?

No news on that CK. Oh, and Annihilation was a Keith Giffen penned event... And now I believe LSH will run beyond #50, because I don't think L3W will end closer to that one at all. I'd say his 16-issues run is probably a done deal now. Which would take him to LSH #53. Though I would really like to see a spike of sales now...

Can't see a spike in sales now that everyone expects the run to end soon.... and Lo3W taking double the sales.
The real danger is that by the time Lo3w limps to an end - 7/8/9 months after starting - the buying public will just be too disinterested to jump onto the Johns (or whoever) ongoing series while the Shooter run will start losing readers as it reaches end-game.
Fingers crossed that I'm wrong.

Fingers crossed that I'm wrong. On the positive side, sales have stopped dropping on the main title, which is not bad at all for the same motives you mentioned above. I find it doubtful however that interest will drop with Johns BUT it is important to see that he doesn't have the Midas touch some people were seeing. As much as L3W went fine, it is hardly a homerun hit.

...and not that I'd call him a GREAT hero, but could the returning one be Bart Allen since Brainy has the lightning rod on the cover?

Ewwwwww! I buy all of these books and read them but I still haven't a clue what the heck is going on!
The only GREAT one I remember being gone or dead from Johns' era, sorry CB & IK & FL, is Mon El. He didn't come back to life until the Giffen, 5 yr later run, did he? So confusing!

I don't think the returning great hero is limited to one from this version of the legion. But, that could be because I'm taking for granted that Bart Allen will be returning. I just didn't want to have to go through a legionnaire's death. RJ Brande was close enough.

Oh, all Flashes will be returning: Bart, XS and even Speedy Gonzales, if it depends on Johns. The only thing that is not coming back is the adult Legion from TMK. Heck, even Reboot is back!

Whoa, color me ignorant for not checking out this thread to find perhaps the funniest Legion thread in weeks! PS - that Darwyn Cooke cover is superb!!! PPS - looks like a somewhat big death occurring in Lo3W! Though I am loving what little I've seen so far, one terrible SPrime-inspired death may encourage me to go on a kill-crazy rampage! I'm warning you Didio!

I was assuming that the character had to come from the same era represented by the Legionnaires shown in the Justice Society stories. They're the ones gathering the power for their Brainy, anyway. And if that's true, then the most important and powerful two heroes to die during that timeline were Superboy and Mon El. I'm confused about who that Superboy was, I guess. I thought he was the displaced Superboy from Crisis ~ Superboy Prime. And therefore, already accounted for ~ he's the bad guy, right? That only leaves Mon. Well, now you know how MY mind is working, which probably has NOTHING to do with Johns or the storyarc in question! sigh

I thought Thom Kallor was going to be the one to die. His death was previewed a few months back.

Hmmmm I'm suprirsed no ones commented on the jsa cover...by the looks of things...I'm willing to bet that Superman-KC is going back to Earth 22 to emerge back after the bomb blast went off to finish off the mini series.

Fortunately I can't make heads or tails out of what you're saying but it sounds like a spoiler???
or is it something pertinent to the L3W books that will help me make sense out of them?
or the current run?
Details man, details! What's "Earth-22?" What bomb blast?

Earth-22 is revealed in the last issue of 52 and in JSA to be the home world of the Kingdom Come heroes, among them the Superman currently visiting the JSA. The bomb blast was the result of a warhead the UN launched to destroy the metahumans. Captain Marvel sacrificed himself trying to stop it.

yeah what Arm Fall of Boy said ...I highly recommened you get the Mini Series "Kingdom Come" 1) cause it ties in so well with what's going on in JSA now...2)great story by itself and helps make sense of everything that Superman KC (kingdom come) is so paranoid about 3) you can see a cameo or 2 of Thom there as StarMan.
