It's comic strip physics. Same principle applies to women fighting crime in heels It's for women crime fighters? Ah heck, I really shouldn't have skimmed the manual to the "Quippy Battle Quotes" chapter...

In the hilarious blaxploitation movie parody "I'm Gonna Git You, Sucka", Antonio Fargas (Huggy Bear from the original "Starsky & Hutch") wears platform heels with goldfish tanks inside each one.

In an episode of the VH1 series "I Love the 70s", somebody joked, "If Stevie Wonder wasn't blind, would he still have worn those clothes?"

I love those VH1 "I Love the __" programs. Even if I don't always get their references, they're still really fun to watch!
Keep up with what I've been watching lately! "Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio? Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you."

I think it's a shame they never did an "I Love the 60s" or "I Love the 50s". Those would have been great.

I watched the "I Love the 2000's" and had fun laughing at some of the trends from my childhood and adolescence.

Oh, those 2000s! They were wild!
Even though I'm happier and more at peace now that I was during the 2000s, I think that may always be the decade during which I had the most fun.

My late 2000's were awful, but I remember my early years in the decade quite fondly, back when I was kid who spent his days watching Star Wars and cartoons.

That pretty well describes my experiences in the 1980s. The unpleasantness then spilled over into the early 1990s. I had a patch of joyful free-spiritedness from about 1992 to 1995, but the years bookending that decade was horrible for me personally.

My childhood in general was full of ups and downs. I'm happier now.

Glad to learn that, Ibby. My childhood was full of ups and downs, too, but my adolescence was like one long horror movie.

My early young adulthood is better than my early adolescence, but now I spend more time stressing about the future instead of worrying about trivial teenage matters!

Thanks, Fanfie. I've been trying to just worry about the present and hope that what I do each day pays off down the line.

Thank you, Ibby. I've always been fond of the XOXO symbol for kisses and hugs, but I have no idea where it originated.

I prefer the second Mirror Master, Evan McCulloch, to the first one, Sam Scudder.

I prefer the second Mirror Master too, but I like James Jesse version of the Trickster more than Axel Walker.

Same here. James Jesse was a great character, especially the way Mark Waid wrote him in Underworld Unleashed.

I hated how they made him homophobic in the craptastic Countdown to Final Crisis and then just killed him off.

The Crisis on Multiple Earths trades, reprinting most of the JLA/JSA team-ups across six volumes, are wonderful.
