Start spreading the gnus, thinly on nice crispy bread with a Mediterranean salad + dressing. That leaves plenty of room for pudding: Yak in a bucket.

Peanuts taught me so many cool things! I learned about gnus, cassowaries, Bangladesh, Susan B. Anthony, Yom Kippur...

The storyline where she had to wear an eyepatch was hilarious!

One of the odder storylines was one where it became illegal to build a snowman without being part of a league. Sally and Linus both joined teams and Charlie Brown decided to defy the rule by building a snowman in the middle of the night, by which time Linus and Sally had both moved on to a bowling league.

Baseball is almost more popular in Japan today than it is in the United States.

Quite a few anime have characters who play baseball. Boys Be, for example. It also has some of the most beautiful anime opening songs I have ever hard. And I love their episode quotes! So romantic. Episode 2, for example: "Every special memory has associated with a scent. When you're surrounded by that smell - your heart can always return to that unforgettable moment. And you can see it clearly in your memories - where the colors are forever bright."

Yes, and one time she duped Charlie Brown into being their mascot and he had to wear a ludicrous pelican costume.

One of the remarkable things about Peanuts was how matter-of-factly it dealt with many issues. Lucy, Violet, Frieda, and the other Patty were on Charlie Brown's baseball team and it was a non-issue, even though having boys and girls in sports together was unheard of at that time.

Even in the Fifties, it was considered acceptable for young girls to play sports alongside boys, sometimes. It was supposed to be a thing you outgrew by the time you hit puberty, though. I suppose you could argue that it was revolutionary for girls to play sports in big hair ribbons and frilly dresses, though.

It's comic strip physics. Same principle applies to women fighting crime in heels

Oh, Lordy. One of the women who probably replaced me at the software gig showed up in full execu-chick regalia for her interview the day before I left. Very nice looking three-inch black pumps, even. I really hope my then-boss warned her that a huge portion of the job would be racing up and down stairs with handfuls of documents. I'm getting sympathy pain just thinking about it...

Oh my.
I once had a classmate who wore heels every single day. One day she came in late, in the middle of an exam. Click click click on the marble floors...

If I could, I would wear t-shirts, shorts, and flip flops every day. Thankfully, being in college lets me get away with that most days!

I'm envious. Thankfully we have a dress-down policy at work, as long as there are no client meetings.
I do keep a spare set of business wear in the office, just in case.

The weather here is getting too warm. I sweat a lot just walking from the car to the office.
