And sales of TotU continue to skyrocket since Dru's appearance!
EDE, can we be expecting a TotU review?

Infectious Lass needs a wider repertoire. We usually see her making somebody vomit; the disease may have an exotic name, but it's still barf. Even at her tryout, she gave Star Boy a "common cold virus" which had him clutching his gut and saying "My stomach!". Apart from the Grandin Gender Reversal Disease, she hasn't been able to exhibit much creativity. A seriously underutilized power!

Wasn't she more clever during Legion on the Run? Heh, heh ... "Legion with the Runs..."
Also, what did she do in her postboot intro by Gail Simone?
We need a Drura expert to remind us!

Alas, Simone had her make Lantern & Arrow clutch their stomachs and vomit. It was still a great appearance.
In 5YL, she hit the President of Earth with some flu with an unusual name - I'll have to dig out the actual issue to check for the green splatters.

I think that since Tales of the Unexpected has a dark Spectre story in the front, it would go along with the theme of the book to have Drura unleash dsyntery or lepracy on people. Think of what morbid fun that would be!

Incredible!!
Since I csn't seem to remember to set my VCR (c'MON, LSH DVD set!!), can anyone give the gist of her appearance? I'm assuming a Subs tryout.... or that hasn't aired yet, has it? Surely not an LSV member??!!??

Infectious Lass, along with *tons* of other obscure Legion characters, appears as part of the crowd gathered for upcoming Legion "auditions"!
This is the grooviest episode of the series so far, likely to be surpassed only by the grooviness of the next episode!

I CAN"T BELIEVE IT! She is going to be on TV! I'm on vacation and can't watch it. Guys you have to tell me how it is. I think I'm right behind Lash, as her bigest fan. I can only hope she makes the grade and becomes a member. I also had to pick up the Tales issues. It reminds me of Animal Man a little. I feel as they are about to break the "4th" wall some.

How do we assess the degree of our Infectious Affection? Does it matter? See, I think I'm WAY up there, but if I had to, I'd choose Nura over Drura. Therefore, I must settle somewhere in the top five or six Drura fans.
Regardless, we can all enjoy watching her on tv now! Wonderful!

DRU FANS REJOICE, DANCE IN THE STREETS!
Our Lady was the lead female of today's "SUBS" epsiode, and she rocked heartliy!
RE: assessing the degree of our Infectious Affection.
You kind-of have to divide it up.
Dru, being for most of her career a bit-player in the LSHverse (until TMK, where she still was a supporting character really), cannot really even be gauged in the same category as the lovely Nura Nal. So you can be Nura AND Drura's # 1-ish fan!

How do I love Dru? Let me count the ways.... 1. I've done LOTS of fan art, including a couple of photomanipulations, featuring her solo.
2. I did a lil 2 page toon featuring her and Tenzil which had a Legion of Rejects cameo.
3. In my first ever Pinup Supermodel presentation, I made Drura one of the five contestants, and ultimately the winner!
4. I've actively participated in this very thread, including quoting the Who's Who in the LSH entry.
5. I received a compliment from DC writer Gail Simone, when I did a sketch of her version of Infectious Lass. (I always appreciate a compliment from a comic industry pro!)
6. I've raved and posted often about the current role Infectious Lass has in the Legion cartoon.
Hey, that was fun to summarize. Anyone else wanna play?

Anyone else wanna play? Sure!
1. I started the original all-Infectious Lass thread some time ago on another board to spread the doctrine of Drura. It continues to this day here at Legion World.
2. Brought her into the Matter-Eater Lad: The Series cast.
3. A major player in the current MEL & The LSH series.
4. I proudly display my Infectious Lass snowglobe and fridge magnets.
5. Always ready to discuss Dru on any comic MB!

EARLY INFECTIOUS LASS APPEARANCES SET TO SKYROCKET IN VALUE!!!!
Before you pooh-pooh the notion, consider this... she was a smash on the LSH cartoon and her current appearances in TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED have caused a sensation fandom-wide! Drura has NEVER in her career had so much exposure!
So, If I were you, I'd be double-bagging and boarding my copies of S/LSH 201 and 218, and DC COMICS PRESENTS 59 as well.

I want to do a drawing of Drura that keeps the beauty we've seen in the comics, and add the personality and physical traits of the animated version. A pretty girl with a stuffy nose and bloodshot, droopy eyes and an inhaler. Oh, and the "bed-head" hairstyle. Oh, and the gap in her teeth. But still brave and confident.

1) I've thought a lot about how her power does or could work and argued for broadening that power far beyond making people puke.
2) I always appreciate what Lash & Sketchy and all the other LWers are posting about Drura!
3) I propose a Drura-Nura team-up.*
4) I'm not selling my S/LSH 201, 208 or DCCP 59.
* With expanded powers, Drura could reverse Nura's injuries (and whatever decomposition there is) and bring her back to life!
