Yeah, I think the flirtatious, fun Drura of TMK played well off the less-frivolous Jacques (and would work with a personality like Rokk's; but if he ever treated her like he did Lydda in S/LSH 212, I'd beat his ass!)

Don't worry, Lash, if Cos ever dissed Drura, she'd give him a nasty case of Braalian Metal Monster E Coli poisoning!!

I can't believe I missed Infectious Lass Day! E-gads! In her belated honor, I sat down and read through the middle to the end end of the TMK run today...pretty much the B.I.O.N. story up to Zero Hour.
There certainly were lots of great renditions of Drura in those issues by Jason Pearson and Stuart Immomen! If only my scanner were working!

For those of you who don't follow the "Your Chance To Be A Legionnaire" thread, here is my rendition of Drura in the City of Heroes online game. Enjoy!

Well, to be fair, the LSH probably did recommend her to the SUBS, but the Academy would have made a lot more sense.

RE-IMAGINE DRURA!!
Drura saw her best days during the FIVE-YEARS LATER run of Legion, a run that Mark Waid spent some time editing!
Mark Waid is about to radically reimagine the Legion.
Can INFECTIOUS LASS be far behind...?

Maybe by this time she had learned better control of her powers? She was still accidentally infecting people (Color Kid, namely) sometimes as of the SUBS SPECIAL, but by the 5YL stories, she was in complete control.

Ooh, I pray so! Incoming spoilers! When I read the latest issue of the Legion and found Nightwind prominently established as a cadet, I first thought, "There's still a chance for Drura and Calamity King yet!" Two more issues or not, I can dream it will come true. Nerd-boy question time: If Drura can cause infectious diseases, as in manipulate the bacteria presumably of a person, does that give her the possible power to manipulate and destroy bacteria and disease already present? Imagine the power she'd have both as a disease-giver and a healer! A new-age doctor, one could say. This calls for a spin-off. Dr. Sehpt, Potential Medicine Woman...of Space!

Ooooh, I'd buy that book in a minute!
Drura as a cadet would instantly earn Gail Simone a ticket to HAPPY LASHLAND!!

Scott has said a number of readers will be very happy with the next issue! That obviously means the return of Calamity King and Infectious Lass!

I did this one before Drura's latest appearance. Had a little fun with the face paint...

I still say the blue on Drura's face is a virus effect that she maneuvers into whatever configuration she wants!

Holy moley, those drawings are really beautiful. Are the two of you working in comics currently? Plus, I love Leap Year Lass' idea about the viral effect. Wish I'd thought of it. Gail

Glad you were happy with Drura showing up, Lash. Sorry I couldn't work in Calamity King this time, Future. If I ever get another chance, who knows? Gail

"Happy" doesn't quite do it justice, Gail... let's just say... you made my faithfulness to Drura over the past several years VERY worthwhile.
Tickled a bunch of other folks around here, too!
And Eryk actually posted a Dean Lee picture. Would love to see Dean on Legion someday....
