I remember seeing it, but I was no longer a kid then.

I remember not thinking much of it as a kid, but it's pretty insensitive in retrospect.

Until 1963, Crayola called the peach crayon "flesh". At least they acknowledge that humans come in different colors now.

I don't think they sell the skin color crayon set anymore.

I like the idea of a set of crayons for a variety of skin colors, but calling them "multicultural crayons" does seem pretty misguided.

When I was a kid we didn't have "multicultural" anything. It was just us and the people who lived somewhere else.

Growing up as a Chinese-Filipino attending a "Chinese" school, I didn't really realize how similar-yet-different we are from the typical Filipino. Now I get so many questions about how The Lunar New Year is celebrated, whether we believe in Feng Shui, whether we have the same standards of attractiveness...

That was actually a point of discussion I was part of today. Some Chinese graduate students were discussing how TV stations were constantly changing between referring to it as the year of the sheep/ram/goat.

To be fair, different spieces like I believe in Vietnam, they have te cat instead of the rabbit. Which annoys me a bit because I was born in the year of the Rabbit

I was born in the year of the rooster, which is sometimes, in older and non-American sources, called year of the cock. Some find that amusing.

As I recall, the Chinese Zodiac was a major plot point of the Good Eleven tag team thread. We need to finish that.

I hope both of you can contribute to it, i am looking forward to continuing it and to Blaze not being a baby anymore! I am getting nostalgic for tag team threads
