A bunch of titles dropped and others added. Still no Legion, a revamped JL3001 and Levitz takes on Dr. Fate.

The good thing about Justice League of America is if you add it to your pull list, you'll probably only be paying for (and getting) 3 issues a year! Good ol' Hitch!

Two series I know I'll be getting are Dr. Fate and Black Canary. Both sets of creative teams are either known to be great or just look plain interesting from googling their work online.
As a huge Hitman fan, Section Eight is a must-buy.
I'll probably sample a bunch too. Prez's creative team looks really interesting! And Ming Doyle and Riley Rossmo, two creators I really like (especially Rossmo--he's awesome) actually make me want to sample the Constantine book. And Starfire by Jimmy & Amanda with Fanfie's fave Emanuela Lapuchino could also be fantastic!
Image and other smaller publishers have DC and Marvel scrambling! This is a good thing! Consumers should win in these competitive situations!

All these changes, and Scott Lobdell STILL has Roy.
Prez looks interesting at least.

As Cobie alluded to, they did indeed reel me in with Emanuela Lupacchino on Starfire.
The rest, we shall see.

umm, none of the above.
Guess that makes it official. As of now, I am not buying a single title with the DC imprint.
First comic books ever bought: A DC four-for-47-cents grab bag that included Adventure #331. The rest is history.

I thought for sure with Lemire's Legion arc in Justice League United that a new Legion title was on the horizon post Convergence. I'm really bummed. I guess after JLU and Convergence I'll be going on hiatus in collecting any new comics for awhile.
On the positive side: I just bought all 13 volumes of the Legion Archives so I'll have plenty of new old comics that I've never read before to pass the time away.

DiDio:- "“This heralds in a new era for the DC Universe which will allow us to publish something for everyone, be more expansive and modern in our approach and tell stories that better reflect the society around us,” said DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Dan DiDio in a press release. “Whether you’ve been a DC fan your whole life, or whether you are new to comics – there will be a book for you beginning in June.”
Another new era? So soon?
Of note to my Legiony self:-
"de-emphasizing continuity" - newsarama
“In this new era of storytelling, story will trump continuity as we continue to empower creators to tell the best stories in the industry.” - DiDio
All that says Four Boot to me, should the Legion be emerging any time soon from this latest push.
“inclusive,” "contemporary," and "accessible." - DiDio
All that says desperate bandwagon jumping, following failed desperate bandwagon jumping attempts to me.
"We're seeing more diversity in our audience. We're seeing a younger crowd," - DiDio
And not the 45 years olds I recall being quoted only so recently. DC clearly has no clue as to who's reading their "product", let alone what they like.
"We're seeing people really enthusiastic about comics. So what we're trying to do is embrace all our audiences, and to create product that I feel talks to everybody."
Wasn't that the Old New Era of 52? I wonder what the equivalent of the generally poor quality work will be this time round. DC: Deluded Concepts of what passes for society.
Of the list, I can't say anything jumps out at me. Aquaman is possibly worth a look anyway. Levitz writing something. Hitch art... um...
I'm not too upset about there being no Legion. I'd rather see it start when DC has a new approach that lasts for more than a couple of years.
"...not having to believe in a thing to be interested in it and not having to explain a thing to appreciate the wonder of it."

I'm not sure that I'd want the Legion relaunched in this climate of DC grasping for straws either, but with Lemire rolling out a composite Legion with the Retroboot Legion at the core, and fan favorites from all the reboots in tow, I thought for sure a new Legion title was coming down the pike. I guess I'm bummed the most that Lemire has given us a glimpse of what an inclusive fan favorite Legion could be, and DC has ignored the work and gone off in another tangent.

Lemire is noticeably absent from any of the titles, indicating he may be done at DC (he's got projects on the go at other companies right now), which means any Legion plans he may have had probably went with him.

Yeah, I think Dave is on the mark. Lemire has like 4-5 series coming out with Marvel, Image, Valiant and Dark Horse.
Thoth, I've actually been enjoying the current Jeff Parker Aquaman run! It's one of a few DC series that have surprisingly started to draw me back to the company a little.

Thanks Cobie. I'll need to give it a look. I've another Gotham by Midnight issue here, and that's about it for DC at present.
Perhaps DC feel the same way, and don't want to rush into...nah, it'll probably be a reboot just not with Lemire.

While the Earth 2 series has been okay, I'm disappointed that they're giving us Earth 2: Society instead of a real JSA book. DC without the JSA and the Legion is a sadder place.
Also this "story trumps continuity" thing is nothing new. It's how comics operated for decades. Every major event since the Crisis in '85 was supposed to fix continuity. Now they're just throwing up their hands and saying it's not important.
*Heavy sigh*
The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

"By Jove! That man there just put his good writing along with that lady's good artwork, and it's ...it's...selling...
I just don;t understand it. How? How? We should get marketing onto it after our next Event."

Okay so Bizarro involves the Multiverse so that's on my list.
And now I just want Prez more than ever.
This may be a bit of a stretch, but this feels like the obligatory "Vertigo retooling" book.
