I was an acquaintance's lifeline for that show once. unfortunately for her, she called her other lifeline for the question on which she lost. I knew the answer, of course.

I was lucky when I had to form a team for an amazing race. I got top notch teammates and we landed in third place out of over 80 teams!

The question she was asked, by the way, was which US government agency received the first Univac computer in 1951. Her incorrect answer was the Department of Defense. Of course the correct answer was But she didn't ask me.

When she related the story to me later on and I blurted out the correct answer, she hit me and asked "Why didn't I call you?" I haven't heard from her in years.

The question she was asked, by the way, was which US government agency received the first Univac computer in 1951. ... Having gotten into the Bureau, it Univac eventually got delusions of grandeur. It became Ultivac and was stopped from taking over the world, or at least Maryland, by Wonder Girl. The whole thing was hushed up* and, with no one to remember his villainy, Ultivac ended up in the Forgotten Villains in the 1980s. Rumour has it that the episode formed the basis for some of the Forbin Project, released in 1970. *partly to protect the confusing Wonder Girl continuity. She's actually much older than Terry Long...

I really do, in all seriousness, believe we're evolving into something better than what we are right now.

There is certainly room for improvement. But I remain hopeful.

That was the premise of every version of The Tomorrrow People, though the original '70s British version is still my favorite.

I get the Tommorrow People mixed up with the Planet People that were part of the Quatermass TV show.

I should add I've never seen Tomorrow People (oddly since I generally watch anything with that sort of premise) and only a few hippie orientated bits of Quatermass TV - I had trouble equating it with the chilling movie.

It made about as much sense to me at the time as Guatemalan TV.

The only Quatermass anything I ever saw was 1967's Quatermass and the Pit (aka, Five Million Years to Earth. The Martian devil thing gave me nightmares.

I had the same reaction as Ibby to the demon sequence from Fantasia.

I was told that I ran screaming from the theater when that sequence came up.
I also hated the dinosaur sequence.
On the other hand, the dancing animal sequence was cute.
