Your kidding right?? I hope so!! I work in an industry (hair dresser, 25 years now) where you see all shapes and sizes walk through the door but when you hear of someone of substantial girth pass away you know it was either cholesterol or a heart attack or stroke. Not to say there aren't plenty of us fit for lifers that don't bit the big one with similar fatalities but it's just makes me so sad sometimes to see folks like that huffing and puffing to just walk and then to watch them eat (my room mate suffered with mortal obesity for a while untill he got diverticulitis and had to have part of his intestines removed and wore a bag for 6 months while the internal stuff healed. He's got normal bowels again, bag is gone and he's OK, still a big man but not mortally obese as he was, thank god!). It's a shame and it's part of life but I just don't' think that's a smart way to live one's life. USA is the FATTEST nation in the world and that's just plain embarrassing!! Well, and the fact that we have a really messed up, evil government, no that doesn't help either!!  If this thread is for real please be careful and don't addopt the attitude that "we all have to die of something". It's not a fun way to live, my room mate can attest to that now!!

No, no, no-- I'm just tired of freaking out if the scale reads 190. For gawd's sake, I'm 5'10. 190 isn't that bad. I'm tired of a diet that encourages me to eat 10 hamburger patties but DIScourages green beans, lima beans and sweet peas. WHAT the...?!?!
I say: Has Chuck Taine taught us nothing?
So, for a while anyway, I'm saying goodbye to the world of dieting.
