When the Legion appeared in the toon-y series Adventures in the DC Universe, three (at the time) active Legionnaires only made cameo appearances and one did not appear at all, while four supporting characters appeared (one as a cameo, three with speaking parts).

Name the four "absent" Legionnaires and the four "present" supporting characters.

It was a pretty good story! Even though it was toon-y, it was an intelligent story.

They should have done more. And they should have made them part of the regular continuity. That was the type of Legion story I wanted to read back then. It's funny that a story aimed at younger readers was a lot more intelligent than what PMS were giving us at the time.

I have to agree. Legionnaires being portrayed as competent, lots of action and drama mixed in with humorous moments, romance without being too cheesy...

I'll give a hint: all of the guessed Legionnaires were indeed members at the time, however none said the quote or were present in the scene.

Not Vi, though she was one of five Legionnaires present.

Another hint: this was said to Jan by a Legionnaire defending their partner.

Phantom Girl?

From your clues I guessed it must be either the story where Jan, Tinya, Vi, Cham and Jo run into the Sun-Eater factory, or the one where they are recruited to destroy Tyrraz!

Which four Legionnaires were shown to have died in the alternate reality of Titans:Legion Universe Ablaze?

Live Wire, Monstress, Karate Kid, and ...Brainiac 5?

What a memory you have, Future! Those are the exact four Legionnaires, and in a bit of foreshadowing, Live Wire and Monstress would both also die in Legion Lost.
