I like the opening song of the Pooh cartoon series. (you have to wait for the 35 second mark before it starts).

The term "baptism of fire" often refers to someone starting a new job and having a rough time adjusting to the working conditions.

"Light My Fire" is one of The Doors' best songs.

"Never mind" was Gilda Radner's Saturday Night Live character Emily Litella's catchphrase.

I think "nass", "grife", and "sprock" are best left to use among us Legion fans.

From Justice League United #7:

Wildfire: "I like your style, Supergirl! Let's kick some sprocking butt."
Supergirl: "'Sprocking'?"

...and hid my knowledge of future slang, lest the Time Trapper discovered me in a nefarious plot to kill off Legion fans before the group was even created.

Next week on Separating Fact From Fiction, we'll meet Rob, whose Image obsession resulted in disastrous steroid abuse. And we'll learn how he used his misogyny to get a job at DC.

I always thought Rob was frustrated at his lack of size, and so all his comically steroid-pumped heroes were reflections of what to him was unattainable.

that's twice today I've not posted something only to find another person posting it instead. What is wrong with me? It's not as though I have standards or anything...

... which is why I get along so well here. Whew! self censoring seems to be over.

That reminds me of a character in a Wildcards book. She absorbed intellects, but mental illness took hold as a result. Quite a tragic figure really.

In the old TV game show Concentration, if you found a Wild Card on the board, you automatically won whichever prize you got on your other guess without needing a match.

I don't play the Concentration card game. I don't have the Patience for it.
