The Disney comics that I read as a kid, both reprints of stories my parents had grown up reading, and new-ish ones from Europe and Brazil, all had not only a lot of racist and sexist crap, but also all kinds of really creepy stuff. In the Italian Donald Duck stories where he's a Batman-type costumed hero by night, he frequently puts knockout pills in Huey, Dewey, and Louie's warm milk so they won't discover his secret identity.
Didn't think much of it back then, but now...
No wonder I turned out so messed up in the head.
And don't even get me started on the comics produced in Mexico and Chile for the Spanish-language market. Violent, scatological, misogynous, pervy, and most of all...racist! Google "Memin Pinguin"...if you dare!
