You start hearing Christmas carols in September, here in the Philippines. By mid-November the streets begin to get more congested because of the Christmas rush. My friends and I decided to defer our Christmas get-together to January.

It will be a while before I put up any Christmas stuff. I do need to get a new set of candles for my Advent wreath this weekend.

"The Advent of Panurge" is the opening track on Gentle Giant's fourth album,
Octopus , and one of several GG tracks based on Renaissance writer Francois Rabelais's
Gargantua and Pantagruel .

James and the Giant Peach always bothered me a bit. At the end I was thinking, say, doesn't the Ladybug have to go home to her kids? Whatever happened to them?

I never knew that! And I know quite of bit of Elton trivia. Thanks for informing us of that, EDE. A few years ago, Elton collaborated with Leon Russell on an album. Both men were born under the sign of Aries.

Blaze is a Sagittarius. When I was in LA I was browsing through a book on gay relationship astrology. I was thrilled to read good things about Scorpio-Sagittarius pairings. Blaze wasn't my boyfriend yet though
