It's going to be a good summer for long shelved Morrison projects. The Morrison/Frazer Irving "Annihilator" is scheduled to come out from Legendary as well. Now if only "Seaguy III" and "Earth One: Wonder Woman" would follow in short order.

Captain Carrot putting steroids into his carrots. It's a sad, sad sight.

So from the solicits on Multiversity we've gotten so far, we know that Earth-20 is home to a pulp-oriented superhero society, and that apparently their evil counterparts, or at least some enemies they've tangled with before, live on Earth-40.
And Earth-16 is home to a reality TV generation of superhero and supervillain offspring, such as Damian Wayne, Chris Kent, Alexis Luthor, Arrowette, Megamorpho, Kon-El someone named Sasha, and surprises of surprises, DONNA TROY.
Notes: Earth-40 was originally designated as the Earth home to the Liberty Files version of the JSA, and whether or not they still exist on that Earth remains to be seen. Earth-16, on the other hand, was said to be home to the Young Justice cartoon. There's the possibility Young Justice still exists on Earth-16, just a different timeline.
...or a different Earth-16.
I mean, this is the third time someone has reclassified who resides on that Earth. The first time it was apparently home to some zen master version of Chris Kent as Superman, the second time they said it was Young Justice, and now it's a world home to the Just.

That article is actually from 2012 (MorrisonCon), shows how long this has taken.

It was a tough decision, but I've decided to wait on the trade for this one. While it would be great fun to discuss it in "real time" with all of you, there's a number of factors -- but rest assured it has nothing to do with my ambivalence about Morrison. No, the reasons are more mundane: money's tighter than ever, I wait on the trades for all the other comics I buy (which aren't many), and the only decent comic book store is too far away to go to on a regular basis. But I hope all of you enjoy it, and I might post a review after reading the trade. Cheers.

In all likelihood I'll probably be reading it in chunks of 2-3 issues at a clip myself.

Honestly, the only reason I have any interest in this is because I want to see Vic Sage as the Question again. Nothing else I've read about this project excites me.

I wonder if the original Wally West will show up in this.

We've got newer info from SDCC, including designs for Donna Troy, Alexis Luthor, Abin Sur, and a brand new map of the Multiverse, including the reveal that Earth-Prime is now Earth-33. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=54354

Wow, I'm surprised Donna Troy actually looks like Donna Troy.

I know, right?
Though I keep saying the costume looks like the Cathy Lee Crosby Wonder Woman uniform.

This feels like one of those comics that will either be a huge hit or a total disappointment. There are a lot of new characters and alternate versions that people may not care about.

Guys, it, it came out.
I held it in my hands. I read it cover to cover.
And it was, it was...
I waited five years for Multiversity. Ever since Final Crisis. I waited for so long. And finally being able to read, it makes me feel like everything within the last five years, it was all worth it.
I love this comic. I love everything about it. I've said that a lot but, it is everything I ever wanted out of a comic.
It's perfect.
I feel like crying.

Does it have any of the characters in their pre-Flashpoint forms?

It looks like Lady Quark and Lord Volt haven't been affected, but it appears they have a new homeworld since Earth-6 is home to the Stan Lee version of DC characters.
Also, Captain Carrot references the time he met Superman, which may either be Pre-Crisis or during Final Crisis.
And it looks like the Harbinger intelligence is the Pre-Crisis Harbinger since she refers to THE Monitor.

Read it last night. It doesn't make much sense yet but I'm thinking it will at some point. Overall I liked it. I like this Superman too.

You know the Earth we saw at the beginning, Earth-7?
It looks like that Earth was a mash-up that had DC characters and pastiches of Marvel characters. The fact that this world got destroyed makes me wonder if it was supposed to be an homage to the DC/Marvel crossover stories, and its death signifying how unlikely it'll be to see any other crossovers in the future.

It doesn't make much sense yet but I'm thinking it will at some point. This is exactly my biggest problem with Morrison in a nutshell, and it's exactly the phrase I was fearing (hoping?) would show up that would cause me to give Multiversity a hard pass. So....I'll pass.
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

I mean... the basic plot of weirdo reality-eating creatures who hop from universe to universe by transmitting information through comics/dreams/drug hallucinations is kind of Yawnsville.
But President Superman teaming up with Captain Carrot to stop them is pretty much the coolest thing ever.
