I almost asked who was the first Legion reject - but then the answer would have been Superboy

What special milestone of the Legion was celebrated in the January, 1979 issue of the title in which the Legion starred?

Was it Superboy / LSH #247? (which, if true, I believe by some wacky coincidence the 247th appearance of the Legion)?

Xben is correct! SLSH # 247 was marked as a milestone issue of the title, with the back-up story featuring Superboy playing pranks on the 3 founders, in a reversal of the story in Adventure # 247. (and incidentally, it was during the election in which Lightning Lad became Legion leader.)

Ultra Boy for both missing bits? I'm not sure I could have told him apart from Colossal Boy early on when they were out of costume. Before the Space Tram turned up...

Now why did I confuse Sun Boy with Karate Kid...
