Is that Polar Boy with an artificial arm on the Action cover?
Beauty's where you find it. Not just where you bump and grind it.

of all the cover, LSH and JSA has me very intrigued....what's Lightning Lad doing ? is he trying to do something to Mekt? or revive Dream Girl?
and whose face is that in the sky on JSA cover? Vandal Savage? Starbreaker? who?!?
Action Comics cover looks drab...needs to do something more lively...at least the story is good to read. good to see Jacques, Blok, Dawnstar, Polar Boy....still missing Jazmine, Zoe, Jenni, Gates, Gear, etc.

I'm thinking the glowing arm on the Countdown to Final Crisis cover is Val's. It's got the wristbands he wears, and it appears whatever virus or plague he's carrying is finally spreading. Not a good thing. Really looking forward to the Action story!!!!!! And is it wrong of me to love seeing that Garth is on the first 4 covers?

Don't care for Polar Boy's costume at all.
Is Shooter going to give Ayla lightning powers? I hope so!

I was just eating a piece of dark chocolate and you ruined the experience for me. You owe me chocolate! I think you're right, too, which is worse. He looks more like Andrew than the comic-book Andrew, actually...

Vee: Wasn't the "Great Disater" what supposedly brought about Kamandi's time? Yes indeed. And Kamandi was the grandson of Buddy Blank, AKA OMAC, who got his power from the Brother Eye satellite. You think the writers don't know their DCU history?

Originally posted by fjm: I'm suprised noone's noticed that LL isn't wearing a ring Is that his ring in Ayla's right hand? My guess is LL wants a piece of Timber Wolf, too. It's great to see another Showcase -- this one containing the first Shooter stories and jumping forward to Shadow Lass's debut. I assume DC will collect #349-364 (including the Suneater Saga) in the next volume. The "Quest for Cosmic Boy" TP better have a cover by Dennis Calero. It's only right. Superman looks pretty good on the Action cover. The Legionnaires, not so hot. The costume aren't repulsive -- just plain bad. Blok should go naked, imo. Finally, there's a line missing from the solicitation. At Newsarama, it reads Part 1 of the story arc “Enemy Rising” — the begining of the One Evil Saga! To save her world, Shadow Lass battles alone against a Life-eradicator. The mystery of their origin deepens as important evidence emerges. Meanwhile, conflict between Timber Wolf and Saturn Girl explodes! Action, angst, amour, amperage and accuracy to the max!Jumping Jupiter, that's more like it!
