Do Lord Volt and Princess Fern deserve a comeback? Of the 3, it is Lord Volt whose powers I find least interesting. There are many other electrically-powered heroes. Not even with those amazing shoulderpads? I've just now decided that Lord Volt is that universes version of Mekt Ranzz.

Not even with those amazing shoulderpads? The family are a cross between 1980s reality TV and soap in their version of Dynasty.

I always thought The Tarantula was interesting, and very underutilized.

I always thought The Tarantula was interesting, and very underutilized. OH. Tarantula is great! In Robinson's Golden Age ... he was a washed up alcoholic author right? In a relationship with Bell ... and he tried to smack her (or did) and she totaled his ass. I still thought he was a well done character. If flawed and going through a bad bad time. Sadly, I think he was meant to just be a plot device to be a through the looking glass version of Johnny Quick and highlight the relationship between Bell and Johnny Quick. Taratula got thrown under the bus but it was quite exciting!

It does have the advantage of being an '80s costume transplanted back to the 1940s. His original was the same as the Sandman (non gas mask) costume wasn't it? or I could have just read the Who's who article Yes it was. And Ordway art too. Officer:Right Mr Law. If you could just stand with your feet together. Tarantula: I can't. My shin pockets won't let me! >whine<

It is better than the Marvel Tarantula that has big long toe spikes on the end of his shoes.

I thought that was a toenail issue and it just wasn't polite to mention it to him?

He had a bad case of writer's block, poor guy. And he died at the end The whole thing happened in one panel, too.

He was kind of lost in the crowd. So were a lot of the other heroes.
Poor Miss America's death was a lot bloodier!

It would have been a different story if she had her transmutation powers ... "buh bye" She was heroic though! crazy Robotman ... I loved Tigress trying to take him down ha! I guess Triumph got the kill for Robotman but Tigress having absolutely no fear after Robotman killed her friend was amazing. speaking of: She was pretty funny!

Ah, Tigress. She and Catwoman and Thorn and Spider-Girl and the first Harlequin are among the bad girls with a heart of gold who make reading comics so interesting!

I kind of love her.
"I'm gonna hunt yo five asses down and kill you!"
Nice full self esteem.
She probably thought crazy Robotman would run scared!

Oh it seems when she grew out of the Young All Stars she renamed herself the Huntress and became a villain ... according to retcon history
The original Tigress, who may or may not be Paula Brooks' mom ... was Zatarra's main nemesis!

I used to think that Captain Triumph would make a great TV series. Then I saw the BBC show Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), and changed my mind.
Next time we have a DC/Marvel crossover, I want it to take place in the Hostessverse

My absolute fav from "Crystar" - WARBOW!! (C'mon, a crossbow, eyepatch and bandolier - what's not sexy about that??) I also have an affinity for characters who are highly valued for their loyalty, and Warbow was the embodiment of that.
