Pulsar Stargrave? Assuming that his fate in the Subs special was indeed death, I think that issue was written by Giffen alone, not by Levitz.

Micro Lad wasn't killed, as far as I know, until the Retroboot, which is discounted by the question.

And as for Pulsar Stargrave, if he did indeed die, I'm pretty sure that's a Giffen solo-written story.

Charma died, off panel, pre-Levitz (her death was the motivating factor for the whole "Grimbor Chains the Earth" story, one of the last big epics before Levitz' returned)

Somehow I had the impression that the Grimbor story, where Charma's death was revealed, was a Levitz tale. Hmmm...

How about Laurel Kent?

That's it! Laurel Kent was introduced in a Shooter story, and killed off by Levitz during the Millenium thing. (Of course, she turned out to be an android as well, so maybe the same objections should apply that did to Tarik's android? I guess it's clear the Legionnaires certainly treated it as a different sort of situation).

Of course, the tricky thing about this one was that Laurel wasn't a villain back in her Shooter appearance.

The Controller who had acted as the Time Trapper?

As you probably saw, CMK, IB already had the answer.

I think that Controller was killed off in a Giffen-only story (Legionnaires Three) - unless Levitz wrote the dialog? But also, I think he was introduced in oversized issue with Garth & Imra's wedding, which Levitz also wrote. Unless I'm wrong on either of those counts?

Of course, who knows exactly when that Controller was meant to have "first" appeared?

Nice, tricky one. Laurel Kent certainly wasn't an "obvious" choice. Be back in a bit.

Yeah, I didn't notice your response before I posted mine.

For some reason, I had assumed that the Time Trapper who appeared in SLSH # 223 was the Controller as well (though his nature wasn't revealed until the Treasury Edition), though in retrospect, whichever TT appeared in that issue had to have been the one who appeared in ADV 338, because he references being freed from the force field by Stargrave. So no matter how you slice it, he wouldn't have been a Shooter creation, I guess.

11 Bizarros were created during the Bizarro Legion two-parter in the Postboot. Name the eleven. As usual, please limit your guesses to the number of un-guessed slots.

Per Xben, except for Koko, not Gates.

My views are my own and do not reflect those of everyone else... and I wouldn't have it any other way.

It is not Element Lad...

but rather Karate Kid!

The first batch of Legionnaires got Bizarroed at the end of LSH v4 113; the next batch in LSH 114, and they were cured (with the help of Bizarro Koko!) in LSH 115.

Over to you, Xben.

I'm on my way out of the country on a big trip in just a few days, so here is (what I think is) an easy one:

Who was the first person that we saw rejected for Legion membership who didn't eventually become a member of the Legion?

Ooogh. Can't remember that far back.

Radiation Roy?

Enjoy your trip, Xben.
