 Aaaahhh!! I just watched that episode 2-3 days ago! Thanks, FL.  I'm relieved, too. (More boring medical stuff below if anyone cares.) My blood pressure had been fluctuating a bit over the last six months, with one jump a few months ago that alarmed one of the NPs I'd talked to. Sometimes that's a sign that the kidneys are going downhill fast. Turns out I was taking two different meds (for unrelated issues) that are known to raise blood pressure. Once I changed to other stuff, it evened out again.

Changing from my "businessman" clothes into my "helicopter pilot" clothes at work always makes me feel a bit like a superhero.
Now, admittedly, my "helicopter pilot" clothes consist of a pair of jeans and a hoodie, but... still.

Last night I saw Before Midnight on DVD. I'd forgotten how much Ethan Hawke looked like a college friend of mine on whom I had a huge crush my senior year. Interestingly, 20-some years later, Ethan Hawke still looks pretty much the same, but my friend (with whom I reconnected on Facebook) does not.
The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

Alas, not everyone can maintain their looks over the decades.

The Hanging Coffins of Sagada are suspended on cliff walls. The people of Sagada believe that the higher up the coffins are, the closer the souls of the deceased are to heaven. Warning : the last picture on the page depicts actual human remains. All others are only of the coffins.
