Cool! Congrats on the sale Xben.
Have to admit, I was kicking myself over not guessing the VHS tapes. Very astute of thothkins to pick up on them being obsolete
New Q up soon.

As I mentioned to Peebz, I thought my next question should be about the Lord of the Oval novella we had so much fun writing. It is a massive event set in the LMB-verse, and nearly every LMBer appears in it (yes, even you, thothkins and Xben!) I'm not very good at creating totally new characters, so many of mine are versions of existing ones. Besides my Invisible Brainiac character, we have Blaze who is my real-life boyfriend. Then I have versions of Kinetix, Kid Quantum II (code name: Kairos), Marvin the Martian (Petty Officer Marvin, who used to be a Brood but was transformed into the Looney Tunes character), and Bugs Bunny (Marvin's friend Petty Officer Bugs). When writing the Novella, I thought of introducing at least two other characters, but the plan didn't push through. Which two of the following would I have "imported" into the LMB-verse? a) Gates b) Monstress c) Doctor Light (Kimiyo Hoshi) d) XS e) Nightwind f) Apparition (Tinya Wazzo) g) Jubilee h) Kole i) Elmer Fudd j) Beast Boy (Gar Logan) k) Ice l) Fire

Kinetix is already a proud member of the LMB, and was instrumental in the defense of Weber's World Not the correct pair of characters.

Nope. Let's eliminate one - Elmer Fudd would have been funny, but two Looney Tunes characters is enough for now When participating in the Lord of the Oval Novella, I thought of introducing at least two other characters, but the plan didn't push through. Nope. I love Kimiyo but her powerset almost duplicates IB's.

The last post on that thread is November 2012 and I didn't join until well into 2013. Have you been drink driving the time bubble again, Ibby? h) Kole l) Fire

I retconned you in, silly I snuck a mention of you in somewhere during the last battle. Not the correct combination either. I like Fire, but the LMB has enough pyrokinetics - including Blaze, who probably wouldn't be too happy at me bringing in someone with a similar powerset. When participating in the Lord of the Oval Novella, I thought of introducing at least two other characters, but the plan didn't push through. Gah! A Retcon! I have become the thing I hate! Mind you, it'll get me an angst driven mini series after that outburst.. h) Kole e) Windy

Eh, don't worry. All you have is a one-line mention, like many others who joined after the Novella ended. I had made it my goal to mention almost every LMBer ever, but I didn't want to take anyone's characters anywhere they couldn't get out of. So of you get an angst-ridden mini it won't be my doing! Not Monstress. I like her, but her powers are too generic. She'd probably make a hilarious LMBer though. Not Tinya, when I needed a phaser I would use Pov. The LMB has its own Phantom Girl too, come to think of it. I'll have to check if I used her. It is indeed Kole and Nightwind! Both underused ladies whose powers are rare among the LMB. Peebz would introduce a Kole who spins pink bubble wrap, but I planning to introduce a crystal-spinning character later. And I have already introduced a wind-user named Maria from Earth who will be my Nightwind. I skipped them because I already ha too many characters to work with. Over to you thothkins!

Y'know, this got me thinking, why IS Nightwind called Nightwind? It's not like her powers work only at night, or become stronger at night. And her original costume didn't have much to do with the night. Unless she used it as an evening gown.

There is an old DC character called The Night Wind ... might have something to do with it .. might not.

Oooh. Sounds creepy and mysterious. What Nightwind was going for when she changed her costume.

Late home this evening because:-
1) I stayed late out of the goodness of my heart. 2) I stayed late because of a work related crisis. 3) The building was shut off until security could clear the seagulls 4) The city centre commonwealth games traffic was designed by the people who create laboratory mice mazes and no one in the city could leave. 5) The cheap signals at the train station broke down as the temperature rose above it's design limit of 65 degrees Fahrenheit. 6) The commonwealth games legacy is that we all have to be fitter by jogging for half an hour each day. I had to wait my turn for an ambulance. 7) I got sunstroke waiting around for a night out to start and got taken home.

Got it in one! My frustration must have showed. As soon as they replaced the old signals, we moved immediately from older, robust technology with few breakdowns to newer technology, bought as cheaply as possible that breaks down at the hint of a nice day.
