I wanna Shikari. smile

I don't mind seeing so much of Dreamy -she's always been one of my favorites -but I do want to see more of Projectra as well.

I agree about U-Boy and "Micro-Lad" looking the same. Kitson's art is reminding me a little too much of Quitely's stuff in these guys -that's a VERY bad thing. Plus I am HATING U-Boy's chest logo -that was perfect as it was and did not need to be tampered with.

I'm totally not thrilled with the in-fighting that's so much a part of this Legion. Brainy had become one of my favorite characters during the DnA issues and to see him and Cos like this is very disturbing.

I love the token giant character has fellow hero in fist covers! And Jo has always been one of my favorites, but I like that Gim is badass enough to take him down a peg. This just reinstates to me that for the first time, Gim might be one of my favorites!

I'd like to see some other characters on the covers too, though, like Jeckie, Cham, etc. They'll get around to Vi eventually though, so I'm in no rush.

The way the story is going, I can see how it'll be Dirk who quits, especially since he seems kinda like a buffer b/t Brainy and Cos. It'll be interesting to see who goes to what team. I can see Nura on Cos' team for some reason, which will just annoy Brainy enough to delight some of us.

And Drake, I miss Wildfire too! A LOT.

I sure hope its not Sun-Boy who quits. We finally got him back after all these years. Please let him stick around. Get rid of somebody boring - like Lightning Lad. laugh

Hey! At least 'your guy' has had a major role so far. Garth? A quickie scene from a Rim world. Not quite the treatment a Founder deserves! smile

Good observation there Jim. You may have hit that one dead on. I'm not as interested in who quits as I should be I guess but you KNOW it won't be forever. "Once a Legionnaire always a Legionnaire" is probably going to hold true in this timeline too.

I'm interested in how this may affect the teams away in the field. Assuming that Garth and Imra are in Cos's clique, Brainy's squad may be in conflict with Cos's in public and that wouldn't be pretty.

At least Gim isn't just part of the backdrop on this cover.

Speaking about seeing more characters? I think we will see Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl take center stage soon. Didn't think it would have taken this long though.

Anyways when the series focuses on LL and SG "War on the Rim Worlds" I am guessing we will see other Legionnaires as well.

And the thought just occurred to me...what if LL and SG need to "draft" some new members out in those remote planet! That would be fun!

Also agree on how good the aggressive Gim is. Two alpha males like Gim and Jo going at it makes sense. I guess when Lar Gand shows up he's gonna keep those two in order...cause he WILL be the top dog. wink

Given the comaraderie between Gim and Jo in LSH#2, I am a bit skeptical about the apparent animosity between them as depicted in the cover. Could there be a hidden agenda in their "opposition"? It would be cool if it is all a play to show the team the need to gel, perhaps engineered by Cos?

Just thinking aloud.

I agree about their comeraderie but I think it's just a cover that Barry had fun with. Comics almost always "amp up" whatever is inside to make a splashy cover so it's probably just a "Danger Room" type of thing.
Thos two are shown or (in dialogue) said to be sparring in every issue so far so I'll bet it's just another "wrasslin' match" between the two jock types.

I'm actually looking forward to a new take on Garth and Imra's powers. I wonder how Waid's adapted and limited these archetypal powers to the new continuity. I mean, Lightning and Telepathy are pretty straight forward by typical comic book logic. This could be interesting.

Jo and Gim's sparring? Friends sparring usually lead to a few real tussels don't it? If by comeraderie you mean Gim putting Jo through the floor? yeah sure. wink

I'm much more excited about Gim and Cham's comeraderie!!! Best part of the last ish for me!

And yes I wonder how Waid will spin the new origins for the two founders. I personally hope not at all in Imra's case. The Ranzz's I'm interested about.

Oh yes, definitely. Their constant rough housing is most probably barely disguised dominance games. Sooner or later somebody gets ticked off and there really IS a fight. Still though as long as they're "buddies" they'll make a formidable team, heck they'd be formidable together even if they DIDN'T get along all that well.

-heh- it would be kind of funny for them to get caught up in a body count competition like the elf and the dwarf in LOtR.

Man that is a great idea for a story. Two heroes try to outdo each other by taking on the toughest villains around.

Gim "Oh you think you are better cause you beat Tyr by your lonesome? I am gonna bag Validus tonight!"

heh feel sorry for the villains. wink (I can also imagine Superman and Captain Marvel going on a villain beating binge like that as well. doh!)

Thanks - as always - for the kind words about the artwork folks! smile

I'll get the scans of the pencils and inks to Nightcrawler ASAP.

Sorry if I've been missing any threads and questions recently - it's been a tough month as both my Grandmother and one of my oldest friends passed away.

I'm feverishly drawing away now trying to catch up lost days!

Thanks again for all the kind words!

Cheers

That's terrible to hear, Barry. We really appreciate your taking the time to drop by even after your loss. But we'll certainly understand if you have more pressing issues (no pun intended) to deal with right now.

I'd also like to express sympathy for your losses Barry. I hope you were able to take time to properly grieve. We'll understand if those massive crowd scenes are a little sparse the next few months... (or if you want to do a story that takes place entirely in Shady's darkfield smile
