Zambia might not have all that much, but I still want to visit just for Victoria Falls.

No, I have several reasons to go to Namibia. The top two are:

The abandoned town of Kolmanskop

and

The ship graveyard called the Skeleton Coast

(might as well try some safaris while I'm at it!)

It's one of mine too, Peebz. Besides being the only African country to never have been colonized during the Scramble for Africa, Ethiopia's nine UNESCO World Heritage sites (tied with Morocco for the most in Afirca) are of particular interest - especially Lalibela and Aksum.

Thanks! I spend a lot of time reading up on places around the world. I'm happy to say I know a little bit about every sovereign country. Hopefully, one day, I'll be able to have a little firsthand knowledge about each.

Yes, even... ANGOLA! You are right; it's the least interesting for me among the choices. Despite its fairly large size, it doesn't seem to have quite as many unique sights to offer. It has some nice views, but nothing all that different from what I could see elsewhere (at least, as far as I have researched).

Over to you, Xben!

Just a little bit about what I'd like to visit in the other choices I gave:

a) Tanzania - the Serengeti, Mount Kilimanjaro
b) Morocco - its 9 World Heritage sites, including Fez and Marrakech and Essaouira
c) Mauritius - beautiful beaches and the seven-colored earths
e) Rwanda - seeing gorillas in their natural habitat
h) Madagascar - the Avenue of the Baobabs and Tsingy de Bemaraha (beautiful limestone! and lemurs!)
i) Mali - Timbuktu (I sincerely hope it will be restored and protected!) and the Cliffs of Bandiagara
k) Mozambique - Ilha de Mozambique, more for the history than for the grandeur of its architecture

Cool stuff, IB.

I recently finished reading all the Legion Archives with my three daughters.

Which Legionnaire is my 9-year old's favorite character from the series?

Luxembourg may be small, but it's supposedly an easy day trip (or overnight) from Paris. I also find its Old City interesting.

Indeed! When I made this list, Serbia was the one I'm least interested in simply because I couldn't recall any particular standout tourist spots. I know want to visit it though, because of what I've read on this page. I'm particularly interested in the monasteries.

Over to you, Xben!

As for the other countries...

A) Ireland - The Giant's Causeway
B) San Marino - Mount Titano
C) Slovenia - The Skocjan Caves
D) Georgia - the beautiful and scenic region of Upper Svaneti
E) Estonia - Tallinn, one of the best-preserved old towns in Europe
F) Iceland - easily my favorite on this list: The Blue Lagoon, and its beautiful national parks plus the aurora borealis
H) Austria - The Austrian Alps
J) Czech Republic - Pilsen or Plzen, where the world's first lager was brewed
K) Romania - Transylvania
L) Malta - The Megalithic Temples
