Baked Tahong (Mussels) is a fairly common party food here. We take the mussels and top them with grated cheese, garlic, and butter. They go great with beer! I've only made them once, but I plan to make them again soon.

Which 2 of the following dishes have I never cooked? (those pictures aren't mine by the way :p)

a) Sweet and Sour Pork
b) Chili Con Carne
e) Gambas
f) Sisig
k) Chicken in Peach Sauce
l) Fish Curry
m) Pad Thai
o) Goulash

Chicken in Peach Sauce may sound a bit weird, but it can be really tasty when cooked properly. Blaze and I made it at his place on time.

My folks brought home a recipe and ingredient kit from Hungary for goulash, so I made it. I did OK, but my dish wasn't spectacular.

Chili Con Carne is another one that I just can't believe you haven't cooked, but then so are the others. So here we go.

Chili con carne is actually a rare dish here. Even restaurants would rarely serve it. But it's one of my grandpa's specialties, and I've helped him make it a couple of times.

I'll add that Gambas is the first dish I ever cooked, except for omelettes. It is now one of my family's faves. Blaze loves it a lot too, he really likes shrimp and tomato sauce and this dish combines both.

Sweet and Sour Pork was also one of the first dishes I cooked. First time I overcooked the pork. Second try I took my time, and the pork came out beautifully. It's been a while since I've made it though.

Three choices left, two of which (I think) have never been guessed.

Yup, that's it!

I made fish curry once with curry powder I got from the Maldives.

I've never made sisig because my mom and sister don't eat it. I'm not sure my dad does, either...

Pad thai is somehint I've been wanting to try for a while.

Well, you certainly have done a fair bit in this whole area. It's a great skill--cooking--that I have never developed.

Question:
What Legion Creator (who presumably will be a contestant on a forthcoming Legion Creator Idol) did I see at a convention last weekend and get the autograph of?

(Not listing choices, but will offer hints as we go along)

In unrelated news, authorities are still searching for the person responsible for holding Paul Levitz hostage last weekend.

"He forced me to give him impressions of my toes," sobbed Levitz. "I told him that I don't do impressions. I'm a comics writer. But he just wouldn't listen."

I think that's just thothkins' way of guessing Paul Levitz and also guessing if you like famous peoples' toes tongue

I'll guess... Steve Lightle?

I'm quite bad with my hands, so cooking (and writing) are probably the most artsy things I can do. Except for video and photo editing, but I'm much too lazy to learn those. I can't do anything like wrapping dumplings, preparing spring rolls or stuffing chicken though, and I'd make a terrible baker because I like experimenting with ingredients and hate measuring exact quantities. Most of the dishes I've made aren't terribly difficult.

Neither Paul Levitz nor Steve Lightle.

I did briefly meet Paul Levitz the one and only time I got to go to the NYCC a few years ago, back near the beginning of the Retroboot (when I was still enjoying it).

The person whose autograph I got this time is an artist.

Nope. I also grabbed his autograph at the NYCC those years ago.

The artist I met on this occasion is certainly familiar to Legion fans, but is not primarily or especially known for their Legion work (in the way that say, Levitz or Shooter is)

Nope. Again, I saw with him at NYCC. He was pretty chatty, and told me about an idea he had a for a fight between Mon-El and Dev-Em, which would all take place in an instant between panels.

The guy I met this time has only drawn the Legion in one of their regular titles once, as far as I know. Nonetheless, he has drawn the Legion significantly in another project that probably all or most of his on this site are familiar with.
