Thanks, Blacula. Re artists vs. creators, I'll defer deciding until later. For the LSV Idol game, yes I intend to include every Legion villain ever! After all, every character deserves a chance to shine, and we never know which obscure villain might end up a cult favorite! That's why I'll need help generating the list I was thinking of redoing a Multiverse Legion game with all allies included too (I know characters such as the Heroes of Lallor, Academy Students and so on are popular! And what about the likes of Shvaughn Erin, Gigi Cusimano, RJ Brande, or even obscure ones like Questar or Polecat?) but let's get to that later. One game at a time

I'm all for non-spoiler-tag, in-thread voting. Spoiler tags seem silly - I can easily avoid looking at other people's votes if I want to.
Although maybe it would be interesting to do the last round and the last round only via PM.
I don't know what the solution to this is but I often found it challenging to backtrack through several pages of discussion and voting to find where IB had posted the results of the previous round. Would it be possible to amend the name of the thread to not only state which round we were in, but which page the new round had begun on? Or am I the only one with that issue?
And I certainly would not be automatically voting for my favorite artists above my favorite writers, even though I agree with the sentiment that every good writer has something I didn't like.

Hmm, I should have considered that not everyone checks the threads daily.
Instead of citing the page number in the thread title (because there are diff. settings for number of posts per page), maybe I can edit the first post of the thread to include links to the post that ends/begins each round. That way the first post can also act as a sort of table of contents.

I do think the PM method is worth a consideration though. What does everyone else think? I much prefer it all out in the open, as it were. The anticipation of how everyone would vote was great in the the final rounds, and really amped up the surprises. Having never watched an Idol/Survivory sort of thing I took form the rules here that there would be a bit of tactical manoeuvring. Also, that this had also added spice to previous idol games. I do think they add to the comments/ discussion as well. That tension of seeing your character going out based on the votes received may push to people to put in their feelings before they're gone. The main thing is that it's done in fun. I'm sure anything else would be stopped quickly enough. Good idea about the first post having a summary of sorts.

When I've ran Tournaments here I usually submitted my votes to someone else to post so people wouldn't think I was rigging the game. I don't think PMs are required for a game like this because unlike Tournaments, the likelihood of cheating is very low. Of course this discussion is mute for our next Idol, as the villains know how to stuff voting boxes (that was a joke).

I liked how this tournament went ... the discussions may have changed people's minds but ... I am ok with my mind being changed. or not. besides it is just going to come down to Emerald Empress versus Mekt. Unless Projectra is included in the villains list. Then she'll win. What? Neck snapping dosn't make you a villain? Killing the Empress dosn't make you a murderer? But in seriousness ... Computo may have a shot!

Thanks all, for sharing your opinions on the game mechanics. I'm glad everyone so far seems to be really enjoying the discussions that come with the game I know I do!

Bah! Everyone knows the Empress will make it to the finals, and the other two who make it are only there because SHE allowed it! Ooh, an Empress vs. 3boot Projectra finale sounds nice.

How many Legionnaires will be on the villain's list? Projectra, Element Lad, Tellus, (Emerald) Violet, Supergirl as Satan Girl, Earth Man, Blok, White Witch (The Hag), Undead Chemical King et al, maybe Dawnstar as Bounty, maybe Sun Boy (5YL), any others?

Tellus was a villain? Do you mean him joining the Dark Circle? Hmmm...
I wonder how many of these Legionnaires will last? I think many of them will be eliminated just for not having been villains too long, and for us preferring them as heroes. Though I can see Satan Girl, Threeboot Projectra and MAYBE Progenitor (Jan) lasting quite a while.

With Tellus, I just felt he fell for the Dark Circle ideology as presented in that great text piece in the 5YG. It was the same text that added a lot the potential unrest on Carrgg (I think it was Cargg). He's more a dupe at worst than a villain?

When making Idol lists I'm more inclined to be loose with criteria for inclusion. but I wouldn't consider Tellus a villain as well, especially since he never (I think?) actually antagonized anyone.
I'm not sure if Dawnstar as Bounty truly fits the bill, either. The only person I really recall her fighting is Monica Sade, who didn't seem like a "true" hero either.

I don't remember the details, but I thought that we found out that we found out Tellus was Dark Circle because he was fighting someone, just briefly.
But I'm not actually fussed about any of this - if neither Tellus nor Bounty show up. (I don't remember Bounty fighting anyone other Sade either, but she did seem a bit creepy).

Yeah, Bounty was a bit creepy and violent. Sigh, poor Dawnstar.
To add to the list, there are several Bizarro versions of Legionnaires. Preboot I think we had Superboy, Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad, Invisible Kid I, Cosmic Boy, Brainiac 5, Chameleon Boy, Ultra Boy and Mon-El.
Postboot we had Brainiac 5, Kinetix, Violet, Triad, M'Onel, Spark, Live Wire, Karate Kid, Ferro and Magno.

I still think False Pretences Lad and Jan Jor are different people.
As for Tellus, I'm not sure if his race was fighting off the cultural oppression of the Gil'Dishpan making them more susceptible to the Circle. Morally murky stuff in the 5YG.
Not fussed if any or all of these make the list. The beauty of voting will sort it out.

I also always thought False Pretenses Lad and Jan Jor were different people.
I think we might suddenly recall how awesome Lady Memory is, but we may forget exactly what Praetor Lemnos has done!

Are we going there? Well, if we're going there...
The Persuader will chop through the competition, but Mano expects to win handily.
