And because I can't leave the guys out, Elongated Man's one and only headlining series is one of my favourite things from the 90s. Fun, funny story and gorgeous art. Here's a link to the covers: http://www.comics.org/series/4396/covers/As for the Flash, this comic - http://www.comics.org/issue/29609/cover/4/... and this comic - http://www.comics.org/issue/33418/cover/4/... were two of the first DC comics I ever read, so I've always had a soft spot for him too. I love the way his costume pops off every page it's on.

Thanks for the info, Blacula. I'll definitely be looking out for both of those, especially the Dinah/Zee book. Dinah and Zee were also teamed up in the JLA 80-page Giant (2009), where they go back in time and meet the Crimson Avenger. They made a great team there, and I love how Black Canary always manages to hold her own even though Zatanna is way more powerful. Their story was one of the best ones from that issue. That book completely escaped my notice for some reason. Did it come out during the wretched Robinson period of writing the team? I was avoiding everything Justice League related while that hack had the reins. I'll keep an eye out for it in the dollar bins though. Sounds like a fun story.

I've never read this Elongated Man series, but the Red Winter storyline in JLE touched on many of the events here. Ralph and Sue made a wonderful team then (with Sue managing to trick Sonar into believing she was on his side, AND leaving a clue for Ralph - who figured out her ploy!). I'm sure they were just as amazing in this series.

Yes - that Red Winter storyline in JLE was a more or less direct sequel to the Elongated Man series. I think Ralph's series was a lot tighter and more focused that that storyline though, which in my memory was a little all over the place.

I actually bought that. It's too bad they didn't go back in time and meet ... Shayera! That would have been cool. They could have done away with the Hal/Roy and Diana/Steel segments and inserted meetings with other heroes... like Shayera! I was avoiding everything Justice League related while that hack had the reins. I'll keep an eye out for it in the dollar bins though. Sounds like a fun story. This came out shortly after Doctor Light (Kimiyo) had returned to the team. I checked and Len Wein was the writer on JLA at that time; this was before Robinson touched JLA (though I think Cry for Justice may have been out already?). I wouldn't recommend the whole book though, some segments (Diana/Steel) were terrible! Superman/Kimiyo was confusing but okay, and Roy/Hal was forgettable. The Ollie/Jason Rusch one was pretty good though, and of course Zee/Dinah. I think GL John/Vixen was the best.

I think Ralph's series was a lot tighter and more focused that that storyline though, which in my memory was a little all over the place. Red Winter started out focused but did eventually end up sprawling everywhere. Too many guest stars towards the end, with brainwashed Global Guardians, the Justice Society, and a couple dozen minor villains. Plus all the Leaguers being so spread out made it tough keeping track of everyone.

Interesting possibilities, pending one voter: Only one is safe (and looks to be the odds-on favorite to win the entire competition), one is assured of going home no matter what and the other three hinge on that voters choice. If he simply picks the same top three from his last round, the current bottom two will be the same.....

I'm really happy with this final five. I have my top three in mind of course. I took a risk with my votes, I hope it works out!

Though mathematically in danger, Shay was the last voter's No. 1 last round. So I'd be surprised if he votes to eliminate her.

I hate to admit it, but with the losses of J'Onn and Diana last round and the impending likely elimination of more of my faves this round, I am also not quite as excited for the finale as I could be. But, this WAS a pretty great Top 12 (in fact, a great To 24!) so I am pretty happy.

So, you're definitely ruling out a surprise "only one voter has to say yes and Ronnie and Mari are back in" wildcard round?

This is a community devoted to a team that regularly fields 25 plus members, not 'the Batman Message Boards,' so it makes some sense that we would be fans of larger groups and not so much solo 'one winner takes all' properties. I know that's very much the case for me, anyway. Legion of Super-Heroes, Teen Titans, Avengers Academy, X-Factor, Young Justice, etc. are among my favorites, and even the lesser known titles I loved, X-Men 2099, Strikeforce Morituri, D.P. 7, Elementals, Southern Knights, Power Company, etc. were almost exclusively team books. Even the current batch of five we have is a bit thin for my tastes.

So, you're definitely ruling out a surprise "only one voter has to say yes and Ronnie and Mari are back in" wildcard round? You know, last night I dreamed that I did just that! Why I didn't include Kimiyo and J'Onn and Ice, I don't know. Then Firestorm and Vixen tied in the last round, so I had to look up who had more accumulated points (Firestorm, btw). But before I could announce the winner, Black Canary and Hawkwoman appeared and accused me of rigging the vote! Thankfully, I woke up before Shayera could smack me with her mace. This is a community devoted to a team that regularly fields 25 plus members, not 'the Batman Message Boards,' so it makes some sense that we would be fans of larger groups and not so much solo 'one winner takes all' properties.
Yes, I like my teams big too. If this game were about choosing the "best" League team I'd definitely stop at a Top 12, and maybe go down to Top 7 so we can choose the "founders". I don't mind going down to 1 though, just for the sake of ranking all the characters.

I was wondering if Zatanna was going to get the points from Quis. I don't think Ralph was going to make it, but of he had a chance I wonder if the 10 points would have gone to him?

I was wondering if Quis would keep Zatanna in the game too; he's voted for her in Rounds 3, 5, 7-9. But it was not to be! Results up in a bit.

If my sums are right I think the three that are left were in my top 7 way back when we started, so I'm pretty pleased about that.
(Ronnie! Mari! Hank! Ted! Waaaaaah!)
That I'm not voting between L-Ron, Yazz and Vibe is also pretty good.

Good thing I double-checked my tallies; I'd accidentally switched someone's votes for Ralph and Zee. Oops! But it wouldn't have changed the results. ROUND TWELVE ENDS!!Your Top Three(Pre-Flashpoint) Black Canary (Dinah Laurel Lance) - 61 (Pre-Flashpoint) Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman (Shayera Hol, Silver Age) - 55 (Pre-Flashpoint) Flash (Barry Allen) - 49 And leaving us after a long, hard battle...Zatanna can't magic herself out of this one, and Elongated Man could only stretch so far. (But Ralph should be commended for being our last Wild Card standing, and Zee did well despite not really being a top vote getter in earlier rounds). (Pre-Flashpoint) Zatanna - 39 (Pre-Flashpoint) Elongated Man - 36 By number of voters:(Pre-Flashpoint) Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman (Shayera Hol, Silver Age) - 12 (Pre-Flashpoint) Flash (Barry Allen) - 10 (Pre-Flashpoint) Zatanna - 9 (Pre-Flashpoint) Black Canary (Dinah Laurel Lance) - 8 (Pre-Flashpoint) Elongated Man - 6 Interesting. Dinah had relatively few voters, but with 5 first place votes she rocketed to the top of last round. (5 sure votes for the finale?) Shayera and Barry only had 3 first place votes each, while Zee and Ralph had two. Wow, I think next round will be close! I'm looking at the 2nd place picks for the people who put Zee and Ralph in 1st place, and... well, let's not spoil the surprise But let's just say next round looks like it will be veeeeeeeery close.

ROUND THIRTEEN! Will it be unlucky?
No more ranking, no more lists. Just vote for your one pick to win the game!
It's been a long ride, folks. Who will win?
(Pre-Flashpoint) Black Canary (Dinah Laurel Lance) (Pre-Flashpoint) Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman (Shayera Hol, Silver Age) (Pre-Flashpoint) Flash (Barry Allen)
I'm inclined to make this round a little longer since we often have some new players show up in the finale. Tentatively, let's end this round on my Thursday night, which will give us a little over 60 hours (round 12 was only about 52 hours).
