 Ex, thanks again for everything. Oh, a couple of minor corrections: The stuff emitted from Black Walnut roots is Juglone. It's more likely to be toxic to Tree Peonies than Shrub (Herbaceous) Peonies, if what I've read on Gardenweb is accurate. Super-nerdy garden types would probably add that any Peony will have a rough time planted directly under any large tree, simply because they'll be in competition for water. (Uh, not that I'm super-obsessed with this gardening thing, of course...) Also, Sid refuses to acknowledge his adopted surname, preferring to go by his shelter name: Sidney J. Katz. (The "J" standing for "Jerkface" of course.) I hope the stitches on your arm have dissolved by now.   Now I need to know what's taking the rest of you so long? You should visit immediately, while chez_cleome is still (relatively) clean thanks to Exnihil's visit.
