Ah! My "this list is too full of the Satellite Era League!" rant has worked! Seriously though, it IS good to see the likes of Wally, Booster and Vixen and Fire still doing quite well. And although a lot of us are voting straight-Satellite Era, I think at least half (if not more) of us are mixing up are lists.

Honestly, I like a lot of Satellite-era characters (and stories, being a particular fan of the pre-Crisis sporadic team ups with the Earth 2 Justice Society). Obviously I'm putting out for Black Canary and Hawkwoman, but I'm a big fan of Red Tornado and Phantom Stranger and Aquaman and Martian Manhunter as well. They just don't appeal to me as much as some of the newer blood. And, even then, my 'newer blood' is like, *thirty years old,* and only slightly newer than *disco,* so it's not like I'm being particularly faddish.

I actually do like a lot of Satellite Era Leaguers as well. Many of them I wouldn't mind winning the game. (A Dinah vs. Shayera vs. J'Onn finale seems both likely and satisfying!) Like with some others though, I just tend to gravitate towards the underdogs. And many of my faves only debuted after the Satellite Era too.

I can only conclude that a lot of people like Zee, but none really have her as a top fave (so far)!
She is one of my faves but I'm spending my rankings on others ... It is the Donna Troy effect! She's is loved by everyone so she gets the boot! It is still saying quite a lot that she is everyone's 5th (or so) favourite Justice Leaguer (like I said before despite all the attention she gets in DC. Attention = writers fing with her) Her stand alone series was fantastic! Especially when her powers were sucked away and we got to see why she was a Justice Leaguer (ie: one of the top super heroes) she was wicked smart and able even without her powers ... that can basically do anything. or there were some cool scenes where she lost her voice (iirc) ... such a good story.

I am guilty of strategizing as well (lightly) I think she is safe so I don't give her the top spots. J'onn as well. But I really do like Shayera and Black Canary better.
between J'onn and Zee, I'm not so sure ...

Tough call between Orion, Mister Miracle and Phantom Stranger. Guess I'll stick to my guns:
150 points Phantom Stranger.

I didn't vote tactically in the last round. I did toy with editing it but, although in the rules, I felt I shouldn't.
So, its 150 points to the guy I should have put top of my list
(Pre-Flashpoint) Steel (Hank Heywood III)
It helps that others have already voted for Ted.

Yeah, editing is tempting but I learned from experience it's best not to. A better tactic is to wait until others have voted before casting your vote.
@LWL: good picks! The only element missing from JLA 200 is Hawkwoman (as Blacula has noted before). And the toon League was great (and I liked that they never called themselves "...of America". Made it more appealing to a global audience).
Tense round! 16 different characters have votes from 11 different players. Of the 16, only 6 got votes from more than 1 player. I think this will turn out to be another one of those surprising rounds. Points are so close together that anything could still happen.

I think my favorite part of the 'of America' tag is that it lent itself to all sorts of fun variations, like the 'Justice League of Aliens' and 'Justice League of Amazons' and 'Justice League of Atlantis.' (As well as the Justice League International!)
A Justice League Europe or Justice League Asia or Justice League Africa could be very cool...
Justice League Antarctica, on the other hand, was 'eh'. Some jokes are just not that funny to me.

A Justice League International with regional branches would be very interesting! After all, I'd want my heroes to not just be powerful, but also to have some knowledge of the culture, geopolitics etc. of the region they operate in. It would also allow the writers to bring in more characters.

I'd rather other regions have their own teams, though, and not just branches of the Justice League. One of the reason Alpha Flight was kind of cool is that it wasn't just X-Men: Canada or Avengers: Canada, but it's own kind of thing.

My favorite Justice League is probably the Morrison Justice League, because I read lots of the back-issues in trade paperbacks. My second favorite would be the pre-Flashpoint Justice League circa the "Lightning Saga", as I feel the team had a great balance of powers. My third favorite has to be the Detroit Era, as those were the first Justice League comics I remember reading (my father's comics).

My favorite Justice League is probably the Morrison Justice League, because I read lots of the back-issues in trade paperbacks. The use of Plastic Man in that run and later really intrigued me. There was a storyline where the various League members were split into two people, representing different sides of themselves, and I remember Plastic Man's split being interesting, since he was a petty crook before. Aztek was also a pretty interesting notion, although his powers, as is Morrison's wont, tended to be all over the place... Although I tend to like underdog gods from mythology, like Set, so if someone is introduced as the champion of Quetzalcoutl and foe of Tezcatlipoca, I begin rooting for the Smoking Mirror.

There is hope that Plastic Man could get back in, I think some people still need to vote, right?
In retrospect, I should not have voted for Elongated Man in the earlier rounds. I was only keeping him on most of the lists because Plastic Man said it's okay for there to be two stretchy guys on the team, so I was trying not be be bitter.

I also liked Morrison's use of Plas, but to me Ralph was the consummate Leaguer (before Meltzer went and wrecked everything). Plastic Man, to me, worked better either solo or as a member of the All-Star Squadron.

I think Elongated Man works better as part of the Ralph and Sue show, so, I'd only go for him if I could get both, which, in the end, just eats up two slots (and in a game that will only have a single winner, isn't going to happen anyway).
Ralph and Sue made a fun pairing, but as part of a group including much more serious detectives like Batman, their antics came across as being a bit like Shaggy and Thelma hanging around with James Bond, which really didn't do their lighter-hearted nature or the more serious League members any favors...

As most posters here probably know, I am normally ALL ABOUT my C- and D- and F- grade characters, and I have a LOT of love for MANY of the characters looking for a second chance on the Comeback List, but I would never have become a comic fan if it hadn't been for Justice League of America #200, and the marquee names of the Satellite era are thus very near and dear to my heart.
So without further ado...
(Pre-Flashpoint) Aquaman - 80 (Pre-Flashpoint) Elongated Man - 35 (Pre-Flashpoint) Wonder Woman - 35

^ this was a pleasant surprise. I don't think you've voted for Kimiyo before, Future! All 3 of your votes here are also among 3 of my top picks. As of now, we have 14 voters giving points to 18 different characters. Of the 18 - Two were given points by four voters. Two were given points by three. Three were given points by two. 11 were given points by one. Points are still close enough that anything can happen, although with only 1 among the "regular" voters not signing in I think the current Top 3 at least have a very good shot at making it in.
I never knew JLA 200 was one of your first, if not THE first, comic books, Blacula. You've spoken fondly of it many times before, but I had no idea it was so special for you. Yeah, Morrison liked "weird" and strange concepts a lot but sadly sometimes he went overboard. It would become weird for the sake of being weird.
As of now, razsolo is the only one of the 15 past voters in the game who hasn't voted yet. So there IS a chance Plastic Man will return, though I don't think raz has voted for him before. I don't think your votes for Elongated Man had made a difference anyway, Emily. You never ranked him high, and he wasn't in much danger in those rounds you did vote for him. Although I am puzzled as to why you still voted for him if you were trying to make a point not to be bitter or spiteful. This game is all about voting for your favorites, or at least voting tactically. Ralph isn't a favorite and I can't see any tactical advantage to voting for him.
