7 correct in that guess.
To the best of my knowledge, 9 active Legionnaires in the Postboot era have never had either of their parents appear on-panel. Flashbacks count as having appeared on-panel. Adoptive parents count as well. Who are they?
This question only covers the Postboot reality. I'm not including Honorary or Reserve members such as Chuck Taine or Superboy.
I'm also not counting M'Onel, as I don't own all his non-Legion appearances in the Postboot continuity so I can't verify.

Hmm...that means that the parents of the Kids Quantum appeared at some point, and I hadn't remembered it. Also means that all of my other 7 were correct. So...
Gear Shrinking Violet/LeVIathan Karate Kid Dreamer Gates ERG-1/Wildfire Star Boy Timber Wolf Andromeda?

Still 8 correct.
Given your very sharp memory, I think you have already considered and rejected the 9th Legionnaire. Probably you assumed a certain character who appeared was this Legionnaire's parent, while I did not make the same assumption.

Ultra Boy? Are you suggesting that the crass woman from Legion Worlds # 6 wasn't really his mother?

No, I'm not suggesting any of that sort. Ultra Boy is not one of my nine.

Yes! It is indeed Shikari. The only Kwai I recall who could possibly be her parent is Matriarch Enkenet, but it was never explicitly stated Enkenet was Shikari's mother. The same thing applies for Gates - a Matriarch of Vyrga appeared, but it was never explicitly stated that this Matriarch was Gates' mom.
Shrinking Violet and Star Boy are the sore thumbs on the list. Both joined near the start of the Postboot, but their family lives were never explored.
As for the others -
Chameleon's dad was shown in one of the early LSH issues, when the Composite Durlan escaped. This would have been before Legionnaires 25/LSH 69.
Andromeda's dad appeared in a one-panel flashback in LSH 70.
The parents of the Kid Quantums also appeared in a one-panel flashback in Legionnaires 60.
And Cosmic Boy's parents appeared in Legionnaires 71, along with his little brother Pol.

Yeah, I figured that "Patra" was Cham's father (if parents are sex-specific on Durla) but I thought that maybe your hint was saying that it wasn't necessarily so.
I had thought that Enkenet had referred to Shikari as her child, but not the Vyrgan matriarch to Gates as such, but my memory could be faulty. Certainly it messed up in thinking that Dawnstar's brothers ever appeared on-panel.
So, next question: Which races, other than Durlan, are known to be susceptible to Yorggian fever?

Races susceptible to Yorggian fever? Um... Orandan?
I'll have to go back and check, but I'm fairly certain Enkenet didn't refer to Shikari specifically as her child. I could be wrong though, I'll let you know if I find anything.

Carggites were not amongst the races listed. Earthpeople (strangely referred to as "Earthians" in that text) are.
There were a total of 6 species listed, in addition to Durlans, who I had excluded in my question.

Hmmmm tough one. I'm taking the guesses from secrets of the legion. But they did a lot of flashbacks in that one.
1 Braalians 2 Rimborians 3 Imskians 4 Coluans (sp?) 5 Naltorians

I didn't see IBBY's response when I posted my "correct," so I will make it clear: thothkins got it right. This was from the Secrets of the LSH mini-series, where R.J. Brande, in need of a blood transfusion to cure his Yorggian fever, reveals that he is the father of a Legionnaire, and Saturn Girl gets a clue from his mind that "he had to spend his life in the form of an Earthman." Marla Latham then pulled up a list of all known races who had contracted Yorggian fever, and eliminated Braalians, Imskians, Winathians, and Earthians, because they look human anyway, and Coluans and Talokians because Brainiac 5's and Shadow Lass's ancestry is too well-documented for Brande to be the father of one of them, which left Durlans - and Chameleon Boy - as the answer.
thothkins, you're up.
