I don't know why, but I like the idea of "Kite" so that's my guess.

Nope, not this run named after a bird of prey. I prefer hitting enemies one at a time. I do love the games' long-range attackers though. They're a diverse bunch, equally split between males and females. Some of them are really good at magic, and some of the weapons are hilarious! Besides knives, bows and arrows, a ball-and-chain and a gun, we have rocks, a boomerang, a blowpipe, a slingshot, ninja stars, Tarot cards, and even a bouquet of roses! In the Suikoden series of games, the magic system is based on runes. You attach a rune to a character and it gives them the ability to cast spells, execute advanced physical attacks, or access special effects.
Which of the below is my most-used rune in Suikoden II (i.e. I've given it to the largest number of playable characters - there are over 70 playables in total!)
a) Wind (cast wind spells - sleep, healing, attack and magic reflect) b) Thunder (more powerful Lightning spells; specializes in powerful single-target spells) c) Fury (character receives permanent Berserk status) d) Prosperity (doubles amount of money received) f) Barrier (10% chance of immunity to magic attacks) g) Kindness (character gains +1 attack for every half hour spent in the active party) h) Fire Sealing (character receives immunity to fire) i) Double-Beat (character attacks twice, but receives double damage if counter-attacked) j) Falcon (2 times normal damage, accuracy reduced by 10%) k) Charm (50% chance of an enemy defending the character from physical attacks) l) Bright Shield (cast spells - powerful healing magic and offense)

Nope! Trick choice, the Bright Shield rune is a unique rune attached to your main character. It's ridiculously useful - it's weakest spell allows you to heal your entire party. That's the 3rd level spell for the Water rune, in comparison. During the early part of the game, if you didn't use the Bright Shield rune, there was no way to heal your entire party from certain death during some boss battles. It's most powerful spell is the single greatest damage dealing spell in the entire game.
Oddly enough, Kinetix is associated with healing, but the only times I've actually seen her heal people are -
a) Using the Moon of Kol to heal her mom, and this was before she got her powers
b) Using some healing arts to ease Triad's headache in Legionnaires 39
c) Healing M'Onel from being shot, but this was using her hypertaxis energy
Besides that, she was never actually shown to possess healing powers!

I can only assume putting trick choices in is for the other players. I was going to go with something else last time, and now I'm skipping it again to channel my inner Ranzz with...
b) Thunder (more powerful Lightning spells; specializes in powerful single-target spells)

Oh, the trick choices are for nobody in particular Though posters who have played the game definitely have a slight advantage. Nope, it's not the Thunder rune (though it comes close). I have it on 10 of my playable characters. The only reason I didn't put it on more is that not everyone has the magical stats or affinity to use it well. In the Suikoden series of games, the magic system is based on runes. You attach a rune to a character and it gives them the ability to cast spells, execute advanced physical attacks, or access special effects.

Obviously "h) Fire Sealing (character receives immunity to fire)" is best cuz anyone who wants to hang with me needs to be fireproofed!

Heck yeah! I'd definitely pay lots to fireproof myself so I can hang out with you. But no, I prefer using offensive and magical runes. I only used the Fire Sealing rune on one character, whose unique rune does double damage to enemies but does 1/2 damage to himself.

Nope, it's not the Thunder rune (though it comes close). Look everyone! Look! I got close! Look! Right. I'm going to trust my instinct, if only so that I may disown it later. f) Barrier (10% chance of immunity to magic attacks) Kinetix-like but generally pretty handy to be used across multiple characters.

I may love Kinetix, but her powers don't dictate my gaming choices I actually only used it for like 30 minutes, then decided against. A 10% chance isn't really all that much, and physical attacks are more common than magical ones. The game also has a mechanism where, if you have your characters stay in the bath for around 5 minutes, they become "toasty". This lets them heal 10 HP every round in battle, and 10 HP for every step you take while walking. Whee! I love free healing

Nope. The Falcon rune is a unique rune which only 2 characters in that game can have. It's one of the strongest such type of rune; most of the others which double a character's damage also put them out of commission for one turn.

I like wind too! It's my favorite classical element. Most of the personality tests I take tell me I'm an Air person. Sadly though, for the Suikoden games I ditch the "basic" elemental runes (Wind, Water, Fire, Lightning, Earth) in favor of their advanced counterparts (Cyclone, Flowing, Rage, Thunder, Mother Earth respectively). And because a programming error made multiple Cyclone runes available, I only have one Cyclone rune and four Wind runes in "active" play. I use Wind more often in the other games in the series.

Tempting to give everyone in my party that, but there is only 1 of that in the game. And of all the games in the series, Suikoden 2 is the one in which money is not a concern by the end of the game. And that's the only time you can get this rune. So, no.

Close, it's a powerful rune with no drawbacks and goes great on any physical attacker. But it's still not it.

Charm - cuz I gots loads of that! Yes you do, and you so could give this gal - Jeane, the Suikoden character who uses the Charm rune - a run for her money. (she's also an ace with Lightning spells!) But, she's the only one who can use the Charm rune, so not it. i) Double-Beat (character attacks twice, but receives double damage if counter-attacked) And thothkins is correct! I favor the Double-Beat rune as attacking twice gives characters more chance to hit criticals or beat up multiple adjacent enemies. It's my most used rune, with Fury coming in a close second. Over to you, thothkins!
