It's almost never the "mean" ones. It's almost always the foolish ones, the ones that won't listen to reason and think they know the way already.

Teaching in the old neighborhood is a dream come true, a goal I had that I was fortunate to reach but it is emotionally draining.

Shoulder wound will heal. Getting better is a longer shot. Waiting for the other shoe to drop, who shot him? Typically, it's kids arguing over something inconsequential and some moron gets offended and points a gun.

Sigh. It's much like that here too. People get annoyed/drunk/angry and shoot or stab each other over the silliest and most trivial things.

...didn't shoot or stab anyone. I did get annoyed while doing the dishes and throw a wet sponge at the wall, though.
