"A Drak IV being" it was.

(They're those weird little pink sort-of eye stalk things. I remember one was trying to sell some information about the Legion to the media at one point early in the Reboot. Apparently they showed up during the Fatal Five arc too but I don't remember that.)

Over to IB.

IIRC, Drak IV was the planet where Leviathan's team stopped the Five from launching weapons at Braal (or was it Titan). The info the eyestalk alien was trying to sell was about the Legion's attempt to rescue Valor from the Phantom Zone.

Good, tough Q! Be bsoon with a new ome

PS I don't recall any inhabitants of Drak IV actually appearing in the Five story

Wow! I had no idea the stalkies were from Drak IV!

I think the only one ever named was Gruertis Nyebif, who was Governor of Ventura!

The story of how an offworlder became Governor of Ventura must be quite interesting indeed! Does Ventura have a native species?

My Q:

In L*36 and LSH 80, 18 Legionnaires split up into 3 teams of 6. Name the 3 teams:

1) Fought the Fatal Five

2) Stopped the Titan fleet from attacking Braal

3) Staged the Pres. Chu sting

Saturn Girl
Triad

Leviathan
Brainiac 5
Spark
Kinetix
Violet
Andromeda
Gates
Star Boy
Ultra Boy

Are those the same stalkies that are the "shocked" mood icons beside the log in details here?

I can pop back for random guess on the postboot question, but it's not one of my stronger Legion areas.

I'll wait a bit to see if anyone else wants to take a crack. If nobody does after a week or so, I'll change the question. Sadly, the Preboot Legion isn't a strong area for me and I have a hard time thinking of interesting questions from that period. Most of the Preboot issues I read were borrowed from my aunt - I've read them all, but it was a three-week marathon.

And yup, those are the same stalkies that I just used in my posting icon.

^ I often just think of a character or topic and then Google or Wikipedia them until I find an interesting angle to ask a question about.

Fought the Fatal Five:

Live Wire
Element Lad
Valor/M'onel
Andromeda
Ultra Boy
Leviathan
Spark
XS
Star Boy
Kinetix

Stopped the Titan fleet from attacking Braal:

Saturn Girl
Gates
Brainiac 5

Staged the President Chu sting:

Invisible Kid
Chameleon
Cosmic Boy
Triad
Shrinking Violet

I usually rely on memory to ask my questions, with a little digging through back issues to supplement. This allows me to ask a Q even when I'm on the go smile

As for your guesses, remember, each team has 6 Legionnaires. I think it would be a bit too easy to guess 10 Legionnaires for one of the teams smile

Care to re-guess with 6 Legionnaires only per team?

^ Oh I missed that part of the clue. It seemed like there were a lot more at the Fatal Five fight.

Andromeda
Spark
XS

Stopped the Titan fleet from attacking Braal:

Saturn Girl
Gates
Leviathan
Star Boy
Kinetix
Ultra Boy

Staged the President Chu sting:

Invisible Kid
Chameleon
Cosmic Boy
Triad
Shrinking Violet
Brainiac 5

You were probably remembering the first Fatal Five fight when Live Wire's group burst in to rescue Cosmic Boy's group!

Of the above:

4 correct in the Fatal Five group
4 correct in the Titan fleet group
6 correct in the Chu sting group

Switch the Ranzz siblings to stopping the titan fleet and move Kinetix and Leviathan to fighting the Fatal Five.

Name the sides in the Legion Civil War. There were 5 Legionnaires on the side of the Atlanteans and 5 on the side of Kryptonians.

That's it. The answer can be seen on the cover and in the contents of Adventure #333.

Cool! I remember thinking that The Krypton team was ridiculously overpowered in comparison even without their superpowers, but the Atlantis team did really well.

Thinking of a question...

Thanks for the reminder, I'd forgotten that it was my turn!

Let's see, a fairly one...

Name at least three things that were different between Kinetix's first costume, and her future ones.

Basing this on thinking that the first costume was the red one...

the others weren't red
The later ones had a skirt
The later ones had different boot lengths.
