Yeah! And SloBo, of all people, took her side when the Wonder Twins sassed her!

Score one more for Cassie!
I also found the "shotgun" scene hilarious. "Slobo drives because he's our best pilot, and Impulse gets shotgun because it's HIS ride!"

Yeah...God, YJ was a treasure trove of wonderful moments.
To give proper credit where it's due, I should mention that Cassie was created by John Byrne during his Wonder Woman run. Ironic, though, that PAD, with whom Byrne has been feuding for over 30 years, would be the one to evolve her.

Mine, too, Lash.
I still feel guilty I that I never got off the ground with the YJ re-read. Maybe later this year...

I really should do that too. Gotta catch up on my current stuff though. I think a fine time to reread will be when Marvel does their own CRISIS and I drop the entire line.

I'll try to be done with the Hulk re-read by then, so that maybe we could re-read YJ together. Wouldn't that be awesome?

I loved her in YJ 50 (invasion of Zandia). It was tough but she showed she could rein in a humongous group of teen heroes. That was also my favorite portrayal of her. She had some real fire, and the rare ability to ride herd on that otherwise unmanageable group of cats. Her frustration at being shoehorned into the 'adult in the room' position, since, clearly, nobody else was able to take on that role (save perhaps Tim, who didn't want it), was hilarious. And then, Johns' Cassie, who was all relationship drama. Yawn. I actually prefer the NuDC version of Cassie to the John's version, even if the NuDC version is strictly inferior to PAD's version... (The Tim/Cassie relationship seemed weird, in that it felt like *both* of them were pretending the other was Conner, or trying to touch / hold onto whatever was left of Conner in the other... Freak-ay!)

Poor, confused Tim and Cassie... All this really makes me want to go and buy more YJ issues.

When I first saw this Wonder Girl I wondered what they'd done to Vanessa "Nessie" Kapatelis. Since I hadn't read any of the titles in such a long time, I got my Cassie and Nessie confussed. I've never read Young Justice and only dipped in and out of the Titans with her in it. And that's all I've got to say about that.

Nessie became the second Post-Crisis Silver Swan for a while, because she was so jealous of Cassie getting more of Wonder Woman's attention. I loved most of the things about Phil Jimenez's Wonder Woman run, but that was not one of them.

Without having read any of what led up to that, it would seem that Nessie forgot all the lessons that Diana was trying to teach everyone. Not the best outcome there.

I think Nessie eventually got better, right? I'm glad she did. Her dialogue as the Silver Swan was quite bad.

She did get better, at the end of the Gail Simone WW run. I'm not particularly a fan of Gail's writing, but I do give her credit for that.

Thank goodness! Our heroes could use a little less drama in their lives.
